If anyone ever tries to solicit any of you following my page in anyway, claiming to be from my company, tell the to 🖕. I don’t do that, never will. There’s so much fraud going on out there right now. In the last two days I’ve caught 12 people(possibly the same person 12 times) trying to book vehicles through Centraldispatch using my name. As soon as I see those dispatches come across my email notification I decline them because it’s not my business trying to book them. The problem is sometimes I don’t see those notifications right away. I’m rolling everyday. Another problem is a Broker gets a call from someone claiming to be me, or from my company and doesn’t thoroughly check out who they’re talking to. The broker just see’s that I have a great record and then texts out addresses, gate releases and any pertinent load information before receiving a signed rate confirmation back from my office through Central dispatch. This morning a broker calls me wanting to know where his vehicle is? I tell him, I don’t have a clue buddy because I never agreed to haul it, I never called you about hauling it. Yeah he screwed up, gave out the load information to the scammer via text and now the vehicle is long gone. The big problem I see is, that broker is always going to associate this bad experience with my company name because he has no clue who he gave that information out to. He screwed up but won’t be willing to face that fact.
I use Central dispatch because one of my customers likes to use their software. That’s really the only reason. Once in a while, not very often I may call on a posted vehicle on central dispatch to help fill my trailer out when I have some empty deck space. It’s a rare event. Honestly, I’d rather dead head home then to call many of the incompetent brokers on their .
These brokers today getting scammed, it’s one hundred percent their fault for not thoroughly vetting who they’re giving their loads to. I had a long conversation with the central dispatch fraud department this morning. I told them it’s happening through your platform and if you don’t get it stopped immediately I’ll be permanently closing my account. If I’m not on their the brokers using your website won’t be able to find me to send dispatches to me. It’s that simple.
