“I was so impressed with Kelvin’s skills as a facilitator that I hired him to serve as my leadership coach when I assumed the position of interim vice president for research at Auburn University in June 2018. The leadership coaching Kelvin provided throughout the duration of my interim role was invaluable.” - Dr. Jennifer Kerpelman, Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies, College of Human Sciences, Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama

“Kelvin is one of the best presenters we have used to bring Emergenetics alive and both his presentations and interactive sessions are engaging, enlightening, and entertaining – a combination that always resonates very positively with our personnel – even when conducted virtually.” – Dr. Devin Stephenson, President, Northwest Florida State College, Niceville, Florida

“I attribute many of our leadership successes at Wallace State to his coaching. I have also engaged Kelvin to provide coaching to teams of employees enduring unresolved conflict, and to athletic teams to strengthen their self-awareness and cohesiveness.” – Dr. Vicki Karolewics, President, Wallace State Community College, Hanceville, Alabama

This morning, I had the pleasure of presenting my “Playing Nice in the Sandbox” workshop to Consumer and Design Sciences (CADS), a department within the College of Human Sciences at Auburn University. 🎓✨

Twenty-one amazing professors participated as part of their professional development day before the start of school, which begins next week. 👩🏾‍🏫👨🏻‍🏫

It was my second time in three years partnering with this incredible group of employees. 🤝💼 🙌🏾

The energy in the room was electric, with great questions, high engagement, and plenty of laughs. ⚡😂

I always enjoy returning to my alma mater, Auburn University, the Loveliest Village on the Plains. 🐅🌾

Today was another reminder of how much I love what I do. ❤️

Why do so many leadership programs fall short—even the good ones?

After 10 years of working with schools, colleges, nonprofits, Fortune 500s, and government agencies, I’ve seen a pattern. A costly one.
This new video breaks it down with clarity, love, and a little fire. 🔥

The top-down leadership model doesn’t work.

People aren’t robots and fear isn’t a long-term strategy.

Good leaders listen, serve, and earn trust.

Power doesn’t make you strong. Integrity does.

What A-Day!! 🦅

I had the honor of serving as the keynote speaker for their Procurement & Business Services Professional Development Day. 🎤

It felt so good to be back on the Plains. 🧡💙

My message? “Playing Nice in the Sandbox”, a conversation about communication, collaboration, and what it really takes to work well with others.

The audience showed up strong with over 225 attendees. 👏🏽

The energy in that room was something special.

Big shoutout to Missty Kennedy for the invitation and for leading with excellence. She’s been a huge supporter, and that means a lot.

It was so good to see her team welcome me with open arms, especially Matthew Pike, Tonya Hollis, and Jeff Wooley

When you speak to a room that’s hungry to grow, it makes all the difference.

Thank you, Auburn, for reminding me why I love doing this work.

This picture epitomizes exemplary followership. When presented with the opportunity to serve as an assistant to a great leader, whether in sports or otherwise, it is vital to maximize the learning experience.

Refrain from feelings of jealousy and envy, and instead, concentrate on acquiring as much knowledge as possible.

Exercise patience and wait for the opportune moment to assume a leadership role, at which point you will be well-prepared to excel.

Conversely, accelerating the process and engaging in underhanded tactics will hinder your ability to learn from your leader, ultimately leading to subpar performance when you assume a leadership role.

You will have only acquired a partial understanding, rather than a comprehensive one.

This experience serves as a valuable lesson: impatience and a failure to respect the process will yield suboptimal results, as the universe reciprocates the energy you invest in it.

Today marked the second day of a two-day travel stint, and what a fantastic way to wrap it up!

I had the immense pleasure of presenting Define Your Destiny: A Masterclass in Self-Awareness to the incredible administrative professionals at Auburn University. 💼✨

More than 200 employees joined to listen to my keynote speech, and it was such an honor to share insights with this amazing group.

I met so many wonderful people, and it was truly special to be back home at Auburn University to present. 🧡💙
