I detest people selling the concept of "scaling"...especially for Beauty businesses.
I'm in a space where I'm falling in love a million moments. 💝
I find myself LOVING the quiet.
sitting in the garden.
Enjoying my coffee
"scaling" takes the BEAUTY out of the business
I'm not saying I don't love making money... but I love the time that money buys me even more.
I love the capacity that TIME allows for me to have to actually LIVE my life. 🙌🏿

I didn't know why at the time ...but as a woman in business I find that people are surprised when you are clear and firm on PRICE?!?🤷🏿‍♀️
Quick to make women FEEL bad...
they may call you expensive...high or too much....
but remember this...
while you may be too expensive for THEM today...the investment to have access to YOUR time, clarity, Knowledge, insight and ability to be a solution to their problem ... is priceless.

it implies that they owe you something for the gift of your patronage. 😩
Discounting labor is not reasonable...it's bad enough that we also pay income tax on said labor..
My Beatyproneur Sisters... hold your head and your prices high.
Attract your ideal client and let the rest experience the service that their budget can afford them 🤷🏿‍♀️

I earned over Six figures EVEN though our studio was closed for FOUR MONTHS during the pandemonium...and my business is on target to experience a 30% increase in 2021 ....How?

I was talking to someone the other day and we were really trying to FIGURE out WHY we allowed ourselves to be paid so little!!? 🤔
Why did we work Sooo hard and reap so little reward?!?
When I'm honest with myself... I realized that the only ONLY reason I could have accepted so little was because I had low self esteem🤫
I used to take jobs and not negotiate the salary..🙄...the benefits not even the vacation days!!
I would go years with out raising prices on my services.
I used to Over pay my staff!!...🤕
I can't make this stuff up 😅🤣
I used to be cheap too!! I'm not sure if it was because I didn't really have the money or if I had suppressed my needs so much that I believed that I didn't need to invest in myself to do better!! *Dang*
While I think Mindset is a very palatable term..the truth is ...that hard work will NOT Trump low self Esteem *period*
What you believe YOU deserve is 100% the truth!
Some of yall don't have a money problem...or a business problem... you just need a little therapy and some self love.
