Today we REST! 💆🏾‍♀️

As Black women and girls, we often push through, never stopping to truly listen to our bodies. March 10th is National Day of Rest for Black Women (& Girls)—and it’s also Harriet Tubman’s birthday. Today, let’s honor the difficult but necessary act of rest.

This day is not just a reminder of our past strength but a call to prioritize peace, stillness, and healing in the present. Rest isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity for our well-being. Take the time to pause, breathe, and simply be.

💖 Let’s shift the culture and make room for Black women’s rest, because we are worthy of it.

👉🏽 Follow for more tips and strategies on how to embrace rest, balance, and true self-care in our daily lives.

Day 13 | “Kind Words In”
Words that pour in when everything else flows out

One kind word for myself:
“Stillness begins with gratitude.”

So much of life asks for our care, our labor, our presence, our emotional energy.

Things are constantly flowing out of us.

This 90-day series is about intentionally letting something flow back in.

Every day, I’ll be sharing one kind word about myself—one thing I love about myself.

🌟 If you want to join me, each day, comment one kind word you’re letting in—something you love about yourself

🌟Let me know what day this is for you (Day 1, Day 5, Day 12, etc.)

🌟 “Let something kind pour in”

You don’t want to miss this one!

Rooted in the legacy of W. E. B. Du Bois, this panel explores how knowledge, freedom, and healing are being negotiated and reimagined in changing times, both locally and across the nation. Drawing from lived experience, scholarship, organizing, and institutional leadership, panelists will examine how communities respond to structural inequities, historical trauma, and contemporary challenges through education, activism, and collective care.
