የኢትዮጵያ ቡና በዓለም አቀፍ ገበያ ያለውን ተጽዕኖ ለማሳደግና የገበያ ተደራሽነቱን ለማስፋት የተለያዩ ስትራቴጂዎች ተነድፈው እየተሰራ መሆኑን የኢትዮጵያ ቡናና ሻይ ባለስልጣን አስታወቀ።

የባለስልጣኑ ዋና ዳይሬክተር አዱኛ ደበላ (ዶ/ር) ለጋዜጣ ፕላስ እንደገለጹት፤ በዘርፉ በዓለም ገበያ የኢትዮጵያን ድርሻ ይበልጥ ለማሳደግ በተለይ በምርት ጥራት ላይ ከፍተኛ ትኩረት ተደርጎ እየተሰራ ይገኛል።

ኢትዮጵያ ከአፍሪካ ትልቋ የቡና አምራችና ላኪ ሀገር ስትሆን፣ በአሁኑ ወቅት የቡና ምርት ጥራትና የገበያ ተጽዕኖዋ በከፍተኛ ደረጃ እየጨመረ መምጣቱን ገልጸዋል።

እንደ ዋና ዳይሬክተሩ ገለጻ፤ በዘርፉ የተሰማሩ አርሶ አደሮችን ምርታማነት ለማሳደግ፣ አቅማቸውን መገንባትና የቡና ጥራትን ማረጋገጥ ላይ ትኩረት ተሰጥቶ እየተሠራ ነው፡፡ በዓለም አቀፍና በአፍሪካ ደረጃ ያላትን የገበያ መዳረሻ ለማስፋፋት ስትራቴጅዎች ተነድፈው መተግበራቸውን ጠቅሰው፤ የኢትዮጵያ ቡና በዓለም አቀፍ ገበያ ላይ ከፍተኛ መለኪያ የተቀመጠለት ነው ብለዋል።

ኢትዮጵያ እ.ኤ.አ በየካቲት ወር 2027 ዓ.ም 4ተኛውን የአፍሪካ የቡና ሳምንት በአዲስ አበባ የምታዘጋጅ ሲሆን፤ ይህም በቡና የሚኖረውን ተጠቃሚነት የሚያሳድግ ነው፡፣ በተለይም አነስተኛ አምራቾችን ለማበረታታት፣ የቡና ምርት ጥራትን ለመጠበቅና አርሶ አደሩን ተጠቃሚ ለማድረግ ከፍተኛ ሚና ይኖረዋል ሲሉም ገልጸዋል።

Ethiopia Earns $1.35 Billion from Coffee Exports in Six Months, Eyes Record Year

Ethiopia earned $1.345 billion from coffee exports in the first half of the 2025/26 fiscal year, putting the country on track for a potential record annual performance, according to the Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority.

Director General Shafi Omar reported that 200,000 tons of coffee were shipped during the period. He stated the authority is targeting a historic $3 billion in revenue by exporting 600,000 tons by the end of the fiscal year, building on last year's total of $2.65 billion from 469,000 tons.

Shafi attributed the strong performance to strategies focused on improving productivity and quality, expanding into new markets with Ethiopian coffee now reaching 84 countries and implementing digital systems. A new digital traceability platform allows the tracking of coffee from farm to warehouse to exporter, enhancing transparency and market confidence.

Promotional efforts in East Asian markets have been particularly effective in driving demand, the director general noted. The authority is also working to make farmers adopt modern technologies to further boost sector efficiency.
