It’s smart to think ahead to the future, even when your business is young.

Succession planning can feel like a conversation for “someday,” but having a plan in place can help protect the business you’ve built and create a smoother path for its future.

Philadelphia business owners have an opportunity to get support with that planning through City of Philadelphia’s latest Business Succession Planning Cohort. The free six-week program helps owners explore options for transferring or selling their business, with access to professional support along the way.

Applications are open through September 29 and are reviewed on a rolling basis.

🚴‍♀️ Philly is getting ready to roll this weekend!

The Philadelphia Cycling Classic returns on Sunday, bringing professional cycling, community events, and plenty of energy to the city.

If you’re planning to watch the race, check out Fan Fest, or simply getting around the city, it’s worth knowing what to expect. The Cycling Classic team has put together information on street closures, parking, and SEPTA changes to help everyone navigate the weekend.

We’re excited to be working with the Pennsylvania Space Grant Consortium (PSGC) again in 2027!

Our work with PSGC has given us the opportunity to support an organization creating meaningful pathways for students interested in STEM, research, and aerospace. Through our partnership, we’ve helped strengthen evaluation practices that capture both the reach of PSGC’s programs and the longer-term impact they have on students.

We’re looking forward to building on that work in the year ahead and continuing a partnership we’ve truly valued!

Our teammate, Maureen, started running in college as a way to find community. Along the way, she found a sense of confidence that carried beyond running and helped her take on goals she once thought were out of reach.

This year, she’s bringing that experience to the Philadelphia Marathon with a charity bib for Students Run Philly Style.

This is so great for Philly!

The Adult Education Pathways Program, developed by Adult Education Philadelphia in partnership with Community College of Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania Department of Education, supports new and future instructors, as well as professionals looking to strengthen their skills.

The program offers training and resources to help educators better support adult learners and strengthen adult education across Philadelphia and beyond.

Nutrition education is about making sure people have the knowledge and skills to access and prepare nutritious food, and, of course, enjoy it, too!

As funding for SNAP-Ed programs faces cuts, our partner Vetri Community Partnership is highlighting why this work matters. As CEO Maddy Booth puts it, nutrition education “ties the whole thing together,” connecting local food access, healthy eating, and efforts to reduce food waste.

This school year, Vetri is relaunching its Culinary Classroom in six schools across Philadelphia, bringing more than 12,000 nutrition education experiences to students during the school day.

It’s a great reminder that access to nutritious food is only part of the equation. People also need the tools and knowledge to make the most of it.
