You have gifts, talents, and dreams that the Lord is waiting for you to discover. He wants to see you SHINE, girl & so do we! We're here to walk with you through it all. We keep it real, raw, and simple. The Vine was created by Marissa Nash, Certified Professional Life Coach. She is passionate about equipping women to find confidence in themselves by shining light on God's truth about who he says they are, despite their thoughts, feelings, and past. Marissa has coached clients in career transitions, relationships, finding their self-confidence, and removing obstacles.

She is currently writing a 40-day prayer devotional that draws women closer to God by teaching them to study scripture, pray, and listen to His voice.

She is happily in love with her husband & you can find her traveling, reading, running, boxing, painting, and playing guitar when she's not hard at work.

Your rhythms & routines define who you are. And right now, you’ve been given a major opportunity to shift whatever it is that you want to shift.

Don’t love that you had to wait until after work to get your peleton workout in? Don’t have to anymore. Do it at 11am, schedule in a 30 min break, b/c you can.

Always complaining about how you never have enough time to read a good book? Schedule in 45 min. after your work day to make a tea & lay in bed to read before cooking dinner.

You have A LOT of freedom in choice right now. And while the natural response for most of us when we’re given too much freedom in responsibly is to freeze — I charge you with making moves instead.

Do what feels good.

Do what you’ve always wanted to do but never had time for.

Schedule it in.

B/c if it’s not on your calendar you & I both know it probably won’t happen.

New rhythms & routines I’m creating in this season.

1. Keeping my phone out of the bedroom 30 min before bed & using an alarm clock to wake up instead.

2. Reading for 20 minutes after work to reset my mind.

3. Taking a mid-day walk or run in the woods to re-energize.

pattern interruption // a technique to change a particular thoughts behavior, or situation used to change thought patterns + behavior.

Movement does it for me.

This morning I was able to clear some space mentally for myself via — you can do this too.

If you’re feeling sad, overwhelmed, discouraged, anxious, afraid. Try pattern interruption.

Here are a few ways I’d suggest.

Do 5-10 minutes of repetitive physical movement.

Put your phone away & breathe in and out for 3-5 minutes.

Try transcendental meditation (TM) for 10-15 minutes — you can find some on Spotify or YouTube.

Happy Sunday, stay well & take care of yourself there’s a lot happening right now 🤍

Today’s meditation & self care routine looked a little different. I felt tense when I woke up. It’s kind of been bubbling up inside my body over the last few days. You know that feeling? When you know something’s there — throwing you off balance but you can’t identify what “it” really is.

That’s how I’ve felt lately.

Today I tried a bubble bath, but still felt tense. Tried a workshop, still felt tired. Tried some movement, still felt an ache in my heart for more restoration. And then I stumbled across a TM meditation (transcendental meditation) and began to listen to & repeat the mantra “SA TA NA MA”. And it worked.

It felt cathartic. So much released. The tension was dealt with as I meditated on the four words. Not bypassed but acknowledged and felt and heard and healed for the time being.

A part of me always hesitates to share my mindfulness practices, because I’ve been told in the past that they’re wrong. Weird? I know. Who gets to say that? Idk. But I listened. And I stopped doing me for a little while.

But this is the truth, my truth, I believe in some woo s**t 😂 I believe in the healing power of crystals & oils & salts. I believe mantras can change our brains. I believe that our bodies store pain & that we are capable of healing ourselves with the support of divine guidance and our own intuition.

So this is me. Woo AF some days but trying to keep it practical & real so that more people can experience the transformational benefits of the healing modalities that keep me going. XO, M.
