That’s a wrap on Pitch Day for the Fall 2026 Pennovation Accelerator cohort!

A huge congratulations to all 11 founding teams for the incredible work they’ve put in over the past six weeks. From refining their business models and go-to-market strategies to sharing their visions with investors, partners, and Philadelphia’s innovation community, each team brought passion, creativity, and a commitment to solving meaningful challenges.

This year, Pennovation Works celebrates its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of transforming bold ideas into real-world impact.

With hundreds of companies supported and more than $1.1 billion in investment generated, the Pennovation Works community continues to shape the future.

The University’s innovation hub, PennovationWorks, has spent the last decade helping companies launch, develop products, and raise capital.

Over the next decade, says Executive Vice President Mark Dingfield, its goal is to sustain and scale that investment. “The breakthroughs that we see ahead are not specific to any one field,” he said. “It’s going to be at the intersection of AI, robotics, life sciences, quantum, and this is really a place where those intersections, those points of creative friction, can develop.”

We are excited to announce the 2026 Pennovation Accelerator cohort!

On September 16th, ten founding teams gathered at the Pennovation Center to kick off the six-week program designed to help early-stage startups accelerate their growth and refine their path to market. Over the coming weeks, founders will sharpen every aspect of their pitch while working closely with experienced mentors and industry experts.
