Sweet gum isn’t as bad as everybody makes it out to be! 👀
We’ve been doing a little kitchen remodeling and put pine on the backsplash, then used some sweet gum for the trim and finishing touches around the countertop.
I think the sweet gum may have actually turned out better than the pine. It’s got some really nice color and grain once you get it cleaned up and put in place.
Just another example of what you can do with locally sawn lumber! 🪵
