I showed the state of my desk yesterday and she said “You need to make that a reel of that!” I thought I’d show no one but her, but here we are.

I mean it when I say I’m messy. Working on fixing it this morning for and friends are coming over for bookbinding and paint making today and they may be horrified.

I like this early rising, these remnants of time travel and Italy still on me. I’ve already had hours of living and discovering this morning — a mourning dove nesting in the wood pile, an American green frog who let me say hello, a slug making its slow way across my hand, three bunnies playing in the garden, insects waking up in the grass, a waterfall. Morning journaling in the middle of all of it. Critters abound.

Now to the barn to tend.
