You don't need the news to see this. Just watch a normal day.

The sigh when someone asks for help. The rushed appointment. The parent snapping, not at the kid, but at the clock.

Small moments. Nobody's the villain. But they add up, and what they add up to is people trusting each other a little less each time.

This piece from The Three Lenses is a really honest look at how that happens, and how it quietly opens the door to something worse: people trading trust for control because it feels safer.

The ask at the end is simple. Pick one moment today and put the person first.

I read something this week that stopped me mid-scroll, and I want to share it with you.

Marc Andonian wrote about a LinkedIn post comparing two pizzas: one topped with Margherita, Pepperoni, Pesto... the other topped with Trust, Autonomy, Fair Pay, Honest Leadership.

It's a simple image, but it captures something real. Companies keep adding flavor (new perks, new initiatives, new slogans) while people are hungry for the basics: dignity, honesty, clarity, fairness.

Worth a few minutes of your time, especially if you lead people.

Ever say something you thought was perfectly clear, only to find out later the other person heard something completely different?

It happens constantly, and it's rarely about bad intentions. It's about two people processing the same message through completely different filters.

We broke down why this keeps happening (and what actually fixes it) in this week's article. Grab the free DISC guide too, link is in the comments below.

Ever sit in a meeting and instantly know who was going to push for a decision, and who was going to want more data first?

That's not random. It's a communication style, and once a team can name it, the friction turns into a conversation instead of a standoff.

New article breaks down what I saw last week facilitating a DISC workshop for an HR team of 13, and why the real value isn't the assessment itself. It's what people do with it afterward.

Ever feel like you're always busy but never actually getting ahead?

You're not alone, and it's probably not a time problem. It's a calendar problem.

In this week's Tuesday with Michael, I share the one habit that separates business owners who keep growing from the ones who stay stuck, no matter how full their day is.

Half the year is gone. Not to stress you out, just to say: there is still plenty of time to finish strong. But only if you take a few minutes to honestly evaluate whether you're pointed in the right direction. Read this week's article and tell me in the comments: what is the one adjustment you know you need to make in the second half of this year?

Small decisions compound over time. Use this mid-year check-in to realign your focus and finish the year exactly where you intended.

Halfway through the year and feeling more exhausted than excited?
The problem is probably not how hard you are working. It is what you are working on.

There is a cultural reward system quietly working against you right now. It praises busyness and calls it productivity. It is not.

I wrote a short article this week with one question that will help you cut through the noise and finish the year with intention instead of regret.

Worth 5 minutes of your time.

You're not behind because you lack effort. You're behind because busy became your strategy. Here's how to reset before the year slips away.

This Memorial Day, I've been thinking about what Eisenhower understood that most of us forget: urgent and important are not the same thing.

How much of your day is spent reacting — emails, fires, back-to-back meetings — versus doing the work that actually moves the needle?

This article is a great reminder that the things we keep "meaning to get to" are usually where our greatest leverage lives. 👇

Honor sacrifice this Memorial Day by reclaiming your time. Learn how the Eisenhower Matrix helps leaders focus on what truly matters most.

It’s easy to lose momentum when progress isn’t visible.

But in business—and in life—results are often built long before they show up.

This article is about staying focused on what actually moves the needle, even when things feel slow.

Worth the 3-minute read:

Explore how clarity, focus, and high-impact actions can turn slow seasons into meaningful growth — and lead to lasting results.

If your focus stays locked on what isn’t working — what’s behind, what’s uncertain, what could go wrong — it’s easy to get pulled into a pattern of reaction. You stay busy, but your thinking becomes narrower. Your decisions become more cautious. Progress slows, even if your effort doesn’t.

When you intentionally shift your focus toward what’s possible — what’s within your control — you begin to operate differently.
