they absorb history, vigilance, and the weight of belonging in a world that asks some of us to prove it again and again.

Especially for BIPOC, rest is often framed as something we earn.
But healing doesn’t respond to pressure.
Neither does clarity. Or peace.

instead of pushing past it.

That’s decision fatigue.

Because it’s not just the big choices that drain us, it’s the constant micro-decisions that steal our clarity.

What to prioritize.
What to respond to.
When to rest (but you don’t).

Every tiny “yes” you give chips away at your energy: every email, every “sure, I’ll hop on that call,” every little thing that wasn’t actually a hell yes.

Decision fatigue isn’t about time management.
It’s about alignment management.

When you start practicing what I call decision hygiene, you stop chasing clarity and start protecting it.

This week, try this:
→ For 3 days, write down every choice you make.
→ Label it as an absolute hell yes, an absolutely not, or an I don’t know.
→ Then notice the pattern.

Your nervous system will tell you everything you need to know about what’s actually aligned...
