Some stories just make you smile.

For 50 years, the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund has been helping families navigate the challenges of caring for a seriously ill or disabled child.

A recent Philadelphia Inquirer story highlights another wonderful part of that mission: Unity Sports, where kids of varying abilities get to play alongside student-athletes from Penn Charter, a school close to home for our team.

As Dolan Fund Executive Director Danielle Scott-Griffith puts it: “Our kids look at these athletes like they’re LeBron James.”

Sometimes inclusion is that simple: a soccer field, a bunch of kids and the chance to be part of the team.

We’re proud to work with the Dolan Fund as it celebrates 50 years of showing up for families, and thrilled to see this part of its story getting some well-deserved attention.

What keeps Melissa Weiler Ge**er moving? Maybe she learned some of it from her mom, a two-time cancer survivor who “keeps saying yes to life.”

We loved discovering this personal side of Melissa in our latest &Then, especially as Please Touch Museum celebrates 50 years of learning through play.

This milestone is close to our hearts at Grimm & Grove. Our founder, Melissa Grimm, served on the Museum’s board for nearly a decade, including during its move to Memorial Hall.

There are wonderful ways to celebrate with the Museum all year long.

On October 22, the Museum will host its annual Imagination Ball. This event helps to fund the next generation of children and families who will walk through those doors.

Every so often, you meet someone whose whole story led them right where they needed to be.

For Danielle Scott-Griffith, that story is deeply personal.

Before becoming Executive Director of the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund, Danielle spent six years as her daughter Chloe’s full-time medical caregiver. Today, that experience shapes how she leads an organization dedicated to helping families caring for children with serious illnesses, injuries, and disabilities get the support they need, quickly and with dignity.

What a journey. Six years of planning (roughly 2,073 days). Thirty-nine unforgettable days. Thousands of volunteers. One city that showed the world what Philadelphia is all about.

Our own Alison Grove recently took a moment to reflect on the incredible journey that brought the 2026 FIFA World Cup and Philadelphia FIFA Fan Festival to life. What began with a conversation among friends in 2019 grew into a world-class celebration powered by vision, perseverance, collaboration, and an extraordinary community of volunteers.

When Philadelphia answered the call, more than 26,000 people applied to volunteer. The final team of 3,000 volunteers contributed more than 120,000 hours, welcoming visitors from around the world and helping showcase the very best of our city.

As Alison shared, this success belonged to so many people: the partners who believed in the vision, the teams who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, the Volunteer Team and Team Captains who set a new standard, and every volunteer who gave their time, energy, and heart to this once-in-a-lifetime event.

We're proud to celebrate Alison's leadership and everyone who made this remarkable achievement possible.

Here's to the next big idea, the next big event, and the next story worth telling.

Some organizations do more than provide assistance. They restore hope.

We're honored to welcome the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund to the Grimm & Grove Communications family.

For nearly 50 years, the organization has helped lighten the burdens carried by families caring for children living with illnesses, disabilities, and injuries by providing financial assistance, respite programs, educational resources, and compassionate support throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

It's meaningful work, and we're excited to help tell that story as the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

Ardmore is having a moment.

A dozen new businesses have opened downtown this year, including OGYU, the new all-you-can-eat Japanese BBQ restaurant, and even more investment is on the way with a major mixed-use development now underway.

Behind every thriving downtown is someone doing the work most people never see: supporting local businesses, navigating projects, solving problems, and helping a community grow.

That's why we were so excited to see our client, Alec Hersh of Downtown Ardmore District, recognized as one of the Philadelphia Business Journal's 40 Under 40. Congratulations on a well-deserved honor.

Our clients at Today is a Good Day recently joined PHL17's Positively Philly to share their inspiring mission and talk about the upcoming Miracle Mile Walk on July 12.

The Miracle Mile is an annual one-mile walk/run that raises vital funds to support NICU miracle babies and their families during one of the most challenging times of their lives.

When Grimm & Grove co-founder Alison Grove says, "This is different," people listen.

Alison has helped lead volunteer operations for some of Philadelphia's biggest moments, including the 2000 Republican National Convention, the 2015 Papal Visit, and the 2016 Democratic National Convention.

Yet she says the FIFA World Cup is unlike anything she's experienced before.

Last Friday, FIFA Fan Festival Philadelphia welcomed 55,000 visitors — 20,000 more than any other host city.

"The scale is impressive, but what's most striking is the global community the World Cup creates. People aren't just showing up for matches in Philadelphia. They're gathering at Fan Fest to watch games happening around the world, celebrate together, and connect through a shared love of the sport.

I've worked on many major events, but I've never seen anything quite like the energy that comes from welcoming the world to one city."

Behind every one of those experiences is a volunteer answering a question, offering directions, solving a problem, or simply making someone feel welcome. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro's visit to FanFest was a meaningful recognition of the thousands of volunteers representing Philadelphia with pride.

We're proud to support Philadelphia Soccer 2026 — and especially proud that Alison gets to play a role in helping Philadelphia welcome the world.

What a moment for Philadelphia — and what a moment for Alison Grove.

For years, we've watched the planning, partnerships, and preparation that made this day possible. Yesterday, it all came to life at the Grand Opening of the FIFA Fan Festival at Lemon Hill.
We're incredibly proud of Alison's leadership with Philadelphia Soccer 2026 and the thousands of volunteers who are helping welcome the world to our city.

In Alison's words:
"What a day, month, year — six (!) years, in fact — it has been. And here we are.

The Grand Opening of the FIFA Fan Festival at Lemon Hill was filled with spirit, joy, and soccer.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with Philadelphia Soccer. Some of us have been here from the beginning, others joined along the way, and together we've built an incredible team. I am honored and proud to be your colleague.

I am equally proud of our FIFA Volunteer Team Philadelphia — 3,000 strong. As FIFA says, you truly are the heart of this event.
Let's continue to show the world what Philadelphia does best over the next 38 days: warm welcomes, competitive spirit, love of all sports, and the grit that keeps us going.

And I would be remiss if I didn't thank my business partner, Melissa Grimm, for holding down the fort at Grimm & Grove Communications. It takes a village — and in Philly, we have so much more than that."
