ARTIST SPOTLIGHT is the passion project of Rachel Buccilli, a woman-like animator and illustrator in Philadelphia. Her work is composed of cartoons and doodles, gags and gimmicks- made in their dinky apartment or studio in South Philly. They enjoy depicting heavily flawed feminine characters, working class drones, and anti-heroes- all while poking fun at the capitalist death machine we all live in.

Rachel hosts the movie club and presents events at local bars and community hubs. She is preparing for her first solo show, opening on first Friday in September at on Broad & Tasker.

Hi! What an embarrassing, disgraceful state we are truly in! Have you seen the weeds? Have you seen the sad, soul decaying blight that is our current vegetation?! Gross, what is wrong with these guys?! Anyway, we need someone to make our plants pretty and keep our weeds at bay. Know anyone? Tell them to get in touch, paul(at)fireballprinting.com . We want to pay someone to take care of our plants. We like native plants, we aren’t against saving the stuff worth saving that is already out there. I’m also including some pictures that have nothing to do with this, including some cattail growing in a basement on American Street and some sick Beavis and Butthead fake Lego sets I found.
