This metal horse arrived in our studio in several broken sections – shattered body, missing metal through the flank, loose base, and a finish that had seen better decades. Instead of being retired to a box in the attic, it got a second life.

• Rebuilt the missing metal and reinforced the structure from the inside
• Carefully re-aligned and pinned the broken elements
• Resculpted lost detail so the repair disappears into the original forms
• Unified everything with a fresh, luminous metallic finish

When Torah crowns and rimonim come into our studio, we treat them first and foremost as sacred objects that serve your community—not just as pieces of silver. Each element is carefully taken apart, stabilized, and cleaned so the engraving, donor inscriptions, and delicate bells are preserved, not over-polished away.

The result is silver that is structurally sound, dignified, and ready for many more years on the bimah—crowns that read clearly from the pews, bells that ring again in procession, and memorial inscriptions that can be seen and remembered. Our goal is that when the Torah is carried through your sanctuary, the beauty of the ornaments reflects the kavod you bring to Torah itself.

A striking tournament helm featuring 24k gold plating and a hand-formed sterling silver plume. The jeweled collar, fleur-de-lis breastplate, and visor were fully restored, including new red fabric lining and complete metal refinishing. The contrast of pure gold against bright silver brings this historic form back to its original bold presence.

This 1971–72 trophy, awarded to the most outstanding college basketball player in the United States as voted by UPI, came into our shop tired, tarnished, and carrying five decades of stories. It was presented to none other than Bill Walton during his UCLA era — a true icon and a moment in sports history frozen in metal.

Our team carefully revived every element:
• the original wood base, cleaned and reconditioned
• the chrome-plated figures and columns, polished back to a mirror sheen
• the engraved plate, preserved with all of its character intact

The goal wasn’t to make it look new — it was to honor the era, the craftsmanship, and the achievement behind it.
A restoration like this is why we love what we do.

There’s a certain kind of beauty you can’t fake. Real gold leaf has a glow that’s alive — not flashy, not loud, but warm and deep. When the light hits it just right, it looks like it’s breathing.

Working with gold leaf is an old art, one that’s been around for hundreds of years. You see it on church ceilings, antique frames, and chandeliers that have outlived generations. It takes patience and a steady hand. The leaf itself is so thin it moves with the slightest breath — you can’t rush it. Every step is slow, careful, deliberate.

What I love most about gilding is that moment when the loose flakes are brushed away and the surface starts to glow. It never gets old.

Gold leafing isn’t just about making something look fancy. It’s about giving it new life while respecting what it already is. It connects you to a long line of craftspeople who believed beauty was something worth preserving — not mass-produced, but made by hand, one square of gold at a time.

The process demands attention and patience, but the reward is simple: something that will still shine a hundred years from now.
