“As a small organization,...keeping up with bookkeeping became increasingly challenging as our operations expanded. Outsourcing to Ecclesiastes provided peace of mind and allowed me to focus on our core programs and mission, knowing experts handled the work… I feel like Monique and her team are an extension of our team. It's been a great move for us and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ecclesiastes to other nonprofits and small businesses.” - Jill Fink, Executive Director of The Merchant Fund Philadelphia.

As summer comes to a close, you might already be anticipating your next holiday vacation. Like everyone else, busy business owners deserve time to relax and recharge. Here are some tips to help you make the most of your next vacation:

Delegate Your Responsibilities: While this option might not be financially feasible for shorter vacations, have a temporary employee take charge while you’re away. Brief them on important accounting tasks such as financial statements, reimbursements, and payroll.

Complete Invoices and Payments: Schedule invoices so you don’t have to scramble last minute. Use this period to ensure you’re up to date on current and future expenses.

Prepare Payrolls: Before you unplug, prepare payrolls for employees in advance. If you plan to be completely offline, this step is crucial for making sure everything’s in order.

Let Your Clients and Customers Know: Transparency is key to fostering client relationships. Before you leave, send out an email that briefly explains your absence. Your email should include your leave and return date and who customers should contact for business matters (this is where your co-worker or employee steps in).

Taking time away from work is important for your physical and mental well-being. If you’re struggling to stay ahead of the curb, Master Your Books Academy will teach you essential business practices and organizational skills. https://myba.mykajabi.com/
