New Vision

New Vision New Vision will restore hope and promote sustainable community development through our renewable energy concepts.

We build tiny home villages for young people transitioning into adulthood, offering workforce training, mentorship, safe housing, and a loving community to support their journey. New Vision Renewable Energy strives to empower people who are investing their time, talents and treasure building and creating strong communities; and unleashing the creative power of individuals and organizations to cont

ribute to the common good while repowering community homes and facilities with high quality renewable energy resources. We will weave the fabric of strong communities by investing in the power of neighbors joining together to develop a nationwide grass roots renewable energy movement that will empower individuals and families with the resources, education and hands-on training necessary to repower their own homes and communities.

What do YOU think?

At our Next Step Summit, we had powerful conversations around prevention, and one thing was clear:

The best ideas come from the community.

We believe that preventing substance use starts with connection, opportunity, and creating spaces where young people feel seen and supported.

Now we want to hear from you.

👉 What programs, activities, or opportunities do you think would make the biggest difference for youth in Barbour County?

👉 What solution-oriented programs do you know of that you believe we should check out?

No idea is too small. Drop it in the comments. We’re listening. 💛

Remember these words from Margaret Mead.

Her words remind us of something we see every day at New Vision.

Real change doesn’t start with massive systems or perfect circumstances. It starts with people; people who care enough to show up, lend a hand, offer encouragement, and believe that a better future is possible.

The Village itself is proof of this truth. What began as a vision has grown because a community of volunteers, donors, mentors, and supporters chose to step forward together.

When committed people come together with a shared purpose, incredible things can happen. đź’›

Help us welcome Brandon to the New Vision Boys Village. đź’›

At just 18 years old, Brandon came to us from Ritchie County, WV with a simple but powerful goal: to start fresh.

During our April 22 house dedication, Brandon moved into Meme’s House, named in honor of Twila Matlick, whose legacy of generosity continues to create opportunities for young people like him.

In just a few short weeks, Brandon has already begun stepping into that new beginning, exploring his interests, working with his hands, and building a life that reflects who he’s becoming.

This is what the Village is all about.
A safe place to land.
A chance to grow.
An opportunity to begin again.

And stories like Brandon’s are only possible because of the support of this community.

👉 If you’d like to be part of creating more stories like this, visit the link in our bio to donate and support the New Vision Boys Village.

Scripture of the Month ✨

"Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2

This is what love looks like in action.

Showing up for one another.
Walking alongside those who are navigating difficult seasons.
Choosing to care, even when it’s not easy.

We’re called to be people who don’t look away—but who step in, lift up, and walk with others through life.

How are you carrying someone else’s burden this week? 💛 We'd love to know in the comments.

Three more houses officially added to the Boys Village!

Following the Next Step Summit, we had the honor of dedicating three more homes in the New Vision Boys Village, each one carrying a story, a legacy, and a deep sense of gratitude. đź’›

🏡 Meme’s House-named after an incredible community leader, Twila Matlick, who dedicated her life to the service of others
🏡 The Conductor’s Cottage- named in honor of John and Kathy Prusa, longtime friends and faithful supporters of New Vision
🏡 The Bruised Camel House- dedicated to Gordon E. Murphy for his enduring commitment to serving and uplifting Appalachian communities

Each home represents more than a place to live, it represents the people who have poured into this mission, believed in the vision, and helped make it possible.

We are so thankful for the lives, stories, and generosity behind these names. Because of you, these houses will become homes where young men can step into stability, purpose, and a new beginning

Our Prevention Works Pathfinders went on an adventure!

The Prevention Works Pathfinders hit the road for a day of adventure, learning, and team-building at High Rocks Educational Corporation and it was an experience they won’t soon forget. 💛

Our students had the opportunity to experience community and teamwork firsthand through hiking, outdoor exploration, learning about irrigation, and strengthening their relationships as a team.

These kinds of experiences matter. They help young people build confidence, connection, and a sense of possibility for the future.

✨ We’d also love to invite everyone to celebrate these students at the Prevention Works Pathfinders Graduation at 2:30 PM at New Vision! All are welcome to attend the graduation ceremony and stay for the meal and celebration afterward.

Mentorship can change the course of a young person’s life.

Many young adults, especially those aging out of foster care or navigating difficult childhood experiences, enter adulthood without the guidance and community most people rely on. Without mentors, the transition into independence can feel overwhelming.

That’s why the New Vision Village was designed as a multigenerational community.

Alongside young adults living in the Village, we are inviting adults from all walks of life, veterans, teachers, tradespeople, mentors, and community members, to live in the community and walk alongside the next generation.

Through everyday life, shared meals, conversations, and guidance, mentorship becomes part of the fabric of the Village.

Because sometimes what changes a life isn’t a program.

It’s a relationship.

If you feel called to invest in the next generation, we would love to connect with you.

Meet Jonathan Crislip, one of the hardworking laborers helping bring the New Vision Village to life.

As part of the New Vision team, Jonathan spends his days building homes and supporting the community that’s growing here on Chestnut Ridge.

For him, the work is deeply meaningful, knowing that each house being built will give young adults opportunities for housing, stability, and a fresh start that might not otherwise exist.

Jonathan has seen the transformation firsthand. When the project first began, this land was covered in trees. Today, it’s becoming a place where lives are being rebuilt and futures are taking shape.

But there’s still work to be done.

If you’d like to be part of building something meaningful, we invite you donate to the New Vision Village through the link in our bio.

Together, we can continue building hope. đź’›
