Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

For any last minute shoppers I’m still open thru 5pm today and by appointment this week if you call or PM me. I finally have gift certificates available to pick up or to mail also if needed.

Thank you all so much for a wonderful season! It’s so great to be back making pottery! I’ll be opening back up this Saturday and starting a new winter schedule. I’ll post that shortly. Happy Holidays!!!

I’ve been feeling inspired this week by this beautiful area to do a new pattern for 2026. I just pulled iut this test mug yesterday. I painted the trees in wax with coloring added to the wax. I dip them into my glaze and the wax will burn out in the firing process. I’ll be bringing some along to the Mt Ararat event coming right up. I love trees!

We’ll be set up at this event at the High School in Topsham so I’ll be closed here in Phillips that weekend. I’ll have to be closed that Thursday and Friday packing to go and early the next week restocking shelves in the store. Hope you can make the event. It’s a great craft show to be a part of.

What a wonderful time we’re having this opening weekend! Thanks to all who’ve come already and who have been spreading the word. We loved seeing locals we know and others with camps or vacationing that we’ve never met and of course the wonderful people who’ve been purchasing pottery for years who traveled to check out the new shop. It was an exciting weekend for us for sure!!!
We’ve decided on summer hours:

Sun: 10-1
Mon: 9-5
Tuesday: closed
Wed-Sat 9-5

Sorry, i did realize im going to need one day off in there, but if you see the flag up, we’re open. Im available to meet people at other times if you text me to do so or call and schedule that. When Im here working the open flag will be flying.

We’ll be open at 9:00 tomorrow and staying open until about 6pm. We expect thru the summer to be in the shop daily 9-5 except Sundays 10-1:00. If you’re coming thru town at a later or earlier hour just give me a message and we can likely be here, or we might be here working anyway. I’m usually glazing or painting pottery in the evening hours right at the shop or just minutes away.

We may pick a day soon that we’ll either close earlier or stay open later depending on traffic and suggestions.

Thanks for all the wonderful support over all these years and helping make this dream possible! This is just the beginning…we’re not done yet!!!!

I’ll post a few more pics in the morning. The sign below will be on Rt 4 pointing toward Weld Rd. Again, we are only about 1000 feet up the road on the left.

The day is finally coming when Cabin Pottery will have a gallery open. Here’s a few pics as we’ve started to put pottery on the shelves. We’ve been really working hard at using the milled wood to make beautiful shelving and divide the building into a pottery workshop, woodworking shop and gallery space. Ready or not, we’re scheduling our grand opening day July 4th! I’ll post more pics shortly and hours too! Come check it out and enjoy a day in this beautiful Mountain and River Region of Maine. 10 Weld Road(Rt 142), Phillips We’re only about a thousand feet up from Rt 4 on the left.

I’ll be in Rangeley this coming Saturday for the White Nose Pete fly fishing festival. Just unloaded these pieces hot from the kiln this evening that I’ll be bringing along to sell. These fish are tedious and time consuming to paint but I sure love opening the kiln to see the many colors in them when i open the kiln! I’ve got another kiln I’ll be unloading tomorrow when it’s cooled.

My next event will be up here again in a week at the Lupin Festival.
