Behind every wildfire response is a team of dedicated men and women working long days in challenging conditions to help protect our forests, communities, and natural resources.

This fire season has tested all of us, but it's also been incredible to see what can be accomplished when we come together with a shared purpose.

A huge thank you to our Miller Timber Services wildland firefighting crews for your hard work, professionalism, and unwavering commitment. We're also grateful to stand alongside our partners, including the U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, state forestry agencies, local fire departments, contract crews, incident management teams, aviation resources, and the many organizations working together on the fireline.

These efforts are also a reminder of why active forest management matters. Healthy, resilient forests and strategic fuel reduction projects help create landscapes that are better prepared for wildfire and safer for firefighters and the communities they protect.

To every firefighter, dispatcher, equipment operator, mechanic, logistics specialist, incident team, and support crew—thank you. We're proud to be part of this incredible team.

When you see forestry equipment, what comes to mind? 🌲

For many people, it's logging.

For us, it's one of the most important tools for restoring healthier, more resilient forests.

Many of our western forests evolved with frequent, low-intensity wildfire that naturally reduced fuels and maintained healthy ecosystems. After decades of fire suppression, many forests have become overcrowded, increasing the risk of severe wildfire, insects, and disease.

That's where modern Cut-to-Length (CTL) forestry comes in.
By carefully selecting trees, processing them where they're harvested, and using forwarders that carry logs over protective slash mats, we're able to:
🌲 Restore healthier forests
🔥 Reduce wildfire risk
💧 Protect soils, streams, and watersheds
🦌 Preserve wildlife habitat
♻️ Make the best use of every tree

Modern forestry is about more than harvesting timber...it's about restoring ecosystems and protecting the forests we all depend on.
