Saw this on another thread. What are your thoughts?
Seen a post talking about how Tracee Ellis Ross has never been married, or had children, & how toxic she must be. All ima say is this.
Shout out to all the women that don't allow societal norms to put them under pressure to marry prematurely. To have children because other people, or your partner think you should. That aren't in relationships solely for emotional or financial security. Or for the relational "status."
When asked about her singlehood she stated, she only wants a relationship “if it betters her life,” not feeling like she needs one to be fulfilled. At 51 years old, not allowing someone to disrupt her ideology of happiness until she feels it matches her worth, shouldn't be frowned upon. It should be admired. You know how many women are in dead end relationships with someone who pumped them with kids, made them put their careers & dreams to the side, all the while cheating & not valuing their sacrifices? Mere slaves to perform duties the world taught were "a woman's responsibility?"
Everytime I see Tracee, she is glowing & happy. Living life, minding her business. I seen a few Christians on this particular post saying that she needs to "find a man and settle down." Why? Don't yall preach to walk as Jesus did? Was Jesus married to a partner? Did he have children? No. So that shows you don't need those things to find true meaning, purpose, and happiness in this life. If he set the example, that shows that isnt the Purpose Of Life. Does it not? If a woman's sole purpose was to have children, why did God allow so many to be born infertile? Her happiness is all that matters. Nothing else.
Shoutout to all us single ppl who are not willing to sacrifice our worth for a title. Our peace of mind, for a piece of comfort. To those who have found happiness, that is beautiful. Truly.. I'm speaking about those who are wasting their precious years just for that ring, that house, and those kids. FTS!! You will never be truly happy in life as long as your happiness is tied to someone else.
Do with that as you may.. 💯 😌
