Tow Truck Driver Job Summary
Our company is looking for an experienced Tow Truck Driver to join our fleet. A background in roadside assistance, PPI and Recovery is a plus. Your primary duties will revolve around assisting disabled motorists with services such as changing their tires or transporting them to a nearby garage, or towing cars that have a parking or other illegal infraction. Our ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal skills to interact with customers and can manage their time well while on the road.
Tow Truck Driver Duties and Responsibilities
Respond to accidents, break-downs, and other roadside incidents
Stay in contact with motorists when you are en route
tow their vehicle to a garage
Safely load cars onto the back of your truck
Keep your truck clean and in good condition
Remove illegally parked vehicles
Properly fill out paperwork and use electronic reporting system.
Tow Truck Driver Requirements and Qualifications
At least one year of commercial driving experience
Must have working cell phone on a network
Strong communication and time management skills
Basic mechanical skills
Attention to detail when documenting work
Physical strength and stamina
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
