We were honored to bring our Dementia Moments experience to an awesome team at Central Arizona Shelter Services — pictured in the special gear we provide for this eye-opening simulation. Rebekah Wilson, Hospice of the Valley's director of dementia education and partnerships, led the workshop and cherished the collaboration to support vulnerable populations living with dementia. When we set the table at our Adult Day Club, we often add “question cards” to help spark connection and get chats rolling. That’s because people living with dementia can sometimes find it challenging to start a conversation, but they often enjoy it once it’s going. Nothing beats a friendly chat over a shared meal, and sometimes it only takes a simple prompt!
