✨Happy International Women’s Day!✨

In honor of today we wanted to celebrate the remarkable women who have served as MIASU.🔱 We had made a final banner that we displayed during Window Rock Fair parade that showcased our former MIASU above, but did not reveal the final list. These are women who have demonstrated dedication and service to their tribal communities and university.

We recognize all former MIASU titleholders today in recognition of International Women’s Day!💛

Q: How can I make a difference in Tribal communities?

I celebrate a decade of ~350 Project DreamCatcher Native Women entrepreneur alumnas. Buy our services and products as we run ~120 businesses that are contributing back into our communities economic wellness.

+ normalizing business funerals (yes, we were told it's a thing)
++ paused, yet fully funded contracts
+++ a speaker listening, then turning our Tinhorn CX pitch into one sentence on the spot!
++++ the value of Tribal cultural acumen when in a delicate situation between two different Tribes.

Back when I was a youth growing up on the Hualapai reservation, I entered an essay contest and won an all-expenses paid trip to Washington, DC, to see our federal government in action. Tribal governments were not discussed. Flash forward to January 14, 2026, where Indigenous youth saw their Tribal leadership at work during the 31st Indian Nations & Tribes Legislative Day at the Arizona State Capitol. Tinhorn CX planted a few seeds as the youth workshop sponsor and as an exhibitor.

I'm excited to join over 300 of my alumna entrepreneurial sisters at the inaugural Alumni Summit of Project DreamCatcher. I'll be sharing a decade of Tinhorn CX's work in business wellness as a panelist representing the original cohort for "Celebrating 10 Years of DreamCatcher Alumni." We started as a class of 19 strangers and now we are a sisterhood of 300+ entrepreneurs who contribute and strengthen our tribal communities and economies. See you there!

Sapo! We had a great time checking out Phoenix's newest Indigenous owned restaurant Kris' Fresh Frybread. The eatery is owned by Chef Kris Harris (O'odham) and features an amazing menu of frybread dishes, stews, burritos and sweet treats. The cafe vibe is casual cool, and brought a lot of locals over while we were had our work session over our delicious lunch (ground beef taco and white menudo).

At Tinhorn CX, we believe in the power of Indigenous entrepreneurship to drive positive change, and we can't wait to see the impact Chef Kris will make. Relatives, Gam'yu? (How are you?) We were honored to serve as sponsors for the 2025 Native American Recognition Days Parade, hosted by Native American Connections on Saturday, Oct. 11. Under the theme, "The Future Is Ours," the 41st annual parade focused on Indigenous youth and community. As part of our mission, Tinhorn CX believes in uplifting our tribal people and nourishing community connection.
