I’m thrilled to share some meaningful news—I’ve been nominated to join the Board of Directors for the University of Washington Hillel. I’m especially honored to be the first person ever nominated who lives outside the state of Washington.

To say I’m humbled would be an understatement. Hillel UW has been a true home for my daughter and for hundreds of students who walk through its doors every day. In what was arguably one of the most difficult years to be a Jewish student, Hillel UW rose to the occasion—offering everything from heartfelt conversations and therapy dogs to matzah ball soup and warm Shabbat dinners. Whatever students needed, Hillel was there.

That’s why I’m inviting you to join me in supporting Hillel UW during Hillel Global Giving Week, May 5–9, 2025. Yesterday, someone asked me what I did for a living. I replied that I’m a fundraiser. I help raise money for organizations and their important causes. The person then said to me, do you know how big you’re smiling right now when you’re telling me this. You must really love what you do. I do, I replied. I didn’t realize how big I smiled when I talked about it, though.

I present to you SIX Million Voices, a global organization, to fight antisemitism, bigotry and hatred around the world. A quick tutorial on End of Year Giving.
Make your tax-deductible donation to your favorite non-profit by December 31st to receive that deduction on your 2022 Federal tax return.
For those who are lucky enough to have the Tax Credit Program in your state, DO IT! It literally costs you nothing and helps out so many organizations. Here is how it works. You make a gift through the non-profit's website under the tax credit. Literally, every dollar you give, up to the amount allowed, comes off your state tax return. It costs you NOTHING but the organization benefits from each dollar. Here are the categories where you can direct your tax dollars. Qualifying Charitable Organizations, Public Schools, Private Schools, Foster Care, Veterans, etc. Choose one or choose them all.
