Customer Loyalty Without Employee Loyalty? Not Happening!

Are your employees:
- dissatisfied in their jobs or with the organization, or its products and services?
- believing what they do is just a job or that they are only a pair of rented hands
- taught to do only what they are told to do and to never ask questions or think original thoughts?

If so, it is possible they are disengaged. There’s no way you can count on them to go out of their way to create loyal customers.
The attitudes of your employees have a direct influence upon the way customers are treated and how the organization is perceived. Your employees interact with your customers … probably all of them at one time or another.

Procrastination, like all of your behaviors carries consequences. Whether your behavior is conscious or unconscious, you will eventually have to deal with the effects.

Procrastination is something that we all have to confront and deal with from time to time. It’s only natural to procrastinate at times, but the way you deal with your procrastination patterns will determine what effects procrastination has on your life.

One of the most obvious effects of procrastination is the failure to reap the rewards that would come from taking action.

Becoming Highly Productive

For a leader to be highly effective, they need to become highly productive. In addition, how they attain high productivity is as important as the productivity itself. High productivity is essential for leaders because it serves these important purposes.

The first, most obvious, is that it enables us to get our work done. No small task given the pace of business and the extra load budgetary constraints impose.

The second, no less important benefit, is that by completing our work in a highly productive manner, it keeps our stress and anxiety levels under control. Controlling stress and tension is critical, since persistently high feelings of stress cause health problems, sap our strength, hamper creativity, and negatively impact our ability to communicate effectively. Each of these factors, of course, affects our effectiveness as a leader.

How to Get Out of Your Own Way

Face Facts: YOU may just be the bump in the road that's slowing you down.

Often the most difficult step in getting out of one's own way is recognizing that you are indeed, in it. Here are some things to keep in mind.

- You can do anything you want. However, you may not be able to do everything you want.
By working hard at doing everything we end up accomplishing very little.

- To get a clear picture, you've got to focus. Once you know which project(s) you will tackle, you must focus on what it will take to really do those projects. Hint: Focus on what you want, not what you don't want!

- If it's on paper, it's a plan. If it's in your head, it's a dream. Putting plans to paper is the first physical step to take towards achieving one's desires.

- Just because you're moving doesn't mean you're getting ahead. A sure sign of a person getting in their own way is when they are working very hard but not getting any closer to achieving their goals.
