little.sleepy.bear I help children sleep all night in their bed w/ a gentle and responsive approach 💕 NO CIO or Ferber

A full night of sleep for your baby isn’t a dream, it’s actually very achievable at 6 months and beyond when you focus on the right things.

I see so many parents trying to solve night wakings by focusing on bedtime only, but the truth is, what happens during the DAY has just as much impact on night sleep as what happens at night.

Here’s a quick checklist for tonight:

👉🏼 Is your baby eating enough during the day?

👉🏼  Is their sleep environment completely dark with a sound machine?

👉🏼 Are they falling asleep independently or do they need you?

👉🏼 Is their nap schedule age appropriate?

If you said no to any of these, that’s your starting point.

Drop your baby’s age below and I’ll tell you what to focus on first 👇🏼

If you’ve been told the only way to get your baby to sleep is to let them cry it out, I’m here to tell you that’s not true!

I’m Maggie, certified pediatric sleep consultant and mom of 2 (one toddler, one on the way 🤰). I created Little Sleepy Bear because I refused to believe CIO was the only option, and I was right.

Gentle sleep training is real, it works, and it doesn’t require you to ignore your baby’s cries or feel like a terrible mom in the process.

Here’s what I help with:

👉🏼 Short naps & contact nap

👉🏼 Frequent night wakings

👉🏼 Crib refusal & co-sleeping/bedsharing transitions

👉🏼 Early morning wake ups

👉🏼 Bedtime battles

All with gentle, responsive methods where you stay present with your baby the entire time.

THIS IS WHY LONGER NAPS AREN’T HAPPENING ⤵️

I get it, you want your baby to sleep longer than 30min because you’re exhausted 🥱

Oh girl, I’ve been there 😣 My baby was a specialist at taking short naps. It was 28min on the dot, no matter what I tried. So trust me when I tell you I know how you feel! But also trust me when I tell you it can change!

If your baby is younger than 4-5 months, this is completely normal for them to have short naps (less than an hour).

Around 5 months old, naps start to consolidate and you can expect your baby to sleep 1h30 to 2h (sometimes more!).

When your baby is around 5-6months old, they have the ability to sleep longer ( 👉🏼 results of the 4 month regression!) so you can expect naps to be AT LEAST 1h.

If that is not the case though, here’s what can be the cause:

1️⃣ The sleep environment is not right. If your baby’s sleep environment is not optimal for good sleep, it will interfere with it. Make sure your room is dark! Babies should start napping in the dark around 2months old because they start being more interested in their surroundings.

2️⃣ They wake up out of hunger. Always offer a feed 20min before the nap to avoid them getting hungry while they sleep.

3️⃣ They need something to fall asleep. That 30min mark correspond to one sleep cycle. When your baby needs something to fall asleep initially like rocking or contact with the mom, 80% of the time they will need it to fall back asleep between sleep cycles. So if it’s not there, they will wake up and ask for it. When they are newborns, it can be easy to save the nap but as they grow older, saving the nap can be tricky.

4️⃣ The schedule is not optimal. When the schedule doesn’t follow your baby’s needs, your baby can be overtired or undertired. Both can lead to short naps!

It’s time to sleep! ✨

After going through this program myself (yes- it is this exact program that took me from bedsharing, nursing to sleep and waking up every 2h to sleeping peacefully all night)

I helped many families improve their sleep and saw incredible results 🤩

The only thing all these families had in common: they were READY to commit to this new life!

If you are ready to put in the work, then this program will improve your nights and you’ll wonder why you waited this long!

It is so easy to give up and to settle with little sleep because you try everything and nothing works.

In my 1:1 coaching program, I look at your baby’s sleep in depth and find where the struggles are.

✨ I will help you break the habits that aren’t working anymore.

✨ I will improve your daily schedule so your baby sleeps better and your days are more organized and predictable, all of that without using the CIO or Ferber Method.

🤔 How can your baby have long naps in their crib so you can work on your business, your hobby or just rest?

🤔 How can you stop nursing or rocking your baby to sleep so you can stop feeling stuck in this routine and you can delegate to your support system?

🤔 How can you transfer your baby to their crib and stop bedsharing so you can finally have your bed and your space back?

👉🏼 These are all the things I help my clients with inside my 1:1 coaching program.

I want you to stop dreaming about these long full nights of sleep and I want you to start taking actions to have them.

It’s time you trust in yourself and in your baby. You deserve so much more than waking up every 2h!

🤍 Trust me, YOU CAN DO IT!

Right now, I have 5 coaching spots available!

I LOVE getting feedback like this and I LOVE how my sleep coaching makes such an impact in your lives.

And it got me thinking about all the other things I love about Little Sleepy Bear and being a sleep consultant!

The 3 big reasons I love what I do:

💖 Seeing how my clients’ daily life changes just after 3weeks of working together! Nothing beats watching someone regain their confidence, just because they got extra sleep!

💖 Constantly learning about children! I learn something new with every client I work with and I love how enriching that is!

💖 The ability to stay home with my baby. I’m so grateful I’ve been able to stay home with my daughter and never missed any of her milestones.

And let’s be honest, there’s a million other reasons why I do what I do every day, but these are one of the best!

Why do you love what you do? What’s the biggest reason you get up in the morning?
