Another Passport order is on the move to Colorado.🚚

Passport continues to expand its presence in Colorado, moving a diverse selection of Mexican spirits from independent producers into the market.

This shipment brings together expressions from El Caballero Mayor, Riablo, Con Todo el Alma, El Cultivador, Magboa, El Llorón, Casa Pineda, and Hasta La Muerte, reflecting the depth and diversity of the portfolio we’re building across the U.S.

For us, growth isn’t just about moving more cases. It’s about creating opportunities for distinctive Mexican spirits to reach new distributors, accounts, bartenders, and consumers.

We’ll be on the ground connecting with distributors, restaurants, buyers, and consumers across Arizona, California, Colorado, Louisiana, and Mexico City continuing the work of bringing distinctive Mexican spirits and the stories behind them to new markets.

Different cities, different conversations.

One shared goal:
Building meaningful connections between Mexico’s producers and the U.S. spirits market.

What Does It Actually Mean to Support a Small Producer?

At Passport Destilados, working with independent and small batch Mexican producers means more than importing their bottles.

It means helping them build a sustainable market.

We connect producers with the U.S. market by introducing their brands to buyers, restaurants, retailers, and distributors.

We organize tastings, educate industry professionals, tell the stories behind the spirits, and create opportunities for consumers to discover something authentic.

But the relationship goes both ways.
We also bring feedback from the U.S. market back to our producers helping them understand what customers are looking for, where their products can succeed, and how we can work together to build consistent demand.

Because for a small producer, one successful shipment is not the goal.
The goal is sustainable growth that allows them to keep producing, investing, and building for the future.

Growth doesn't happen overnight.

At Passport Destilados, we believe sustainable growth is built one relationship at a time one restaurant, one buyer, one distributor, one bartender, one producer, and one new market at a time.

Over the past few months, we've been strengthening our presence in Arizona while developing relationships in new markets across the United States.

Every conversation teaches us something new: where a brand can succeed, what a market needs, and how we can better support the producers we represent.

Some of the most important work happens behind the scenes following up with a distributor, visiting a restaurant, meeting a buyer, supporting a tasting, connecting with a producer, or simply having a conversation that may lead somewhere months from now.

For us, that's momentum.
Not one big breakthrough, but dozens of meaningful relationships gradually coming together to build a market.

We are growing intentionally, with patience and purpose.

What Are We Trying to Preserve?

With Con Todo el Alma, we are reminded that preserving traditional mezcal production isn't about resisting change. It is about recognizing the value of knowledge that has survived for generations.

In the world of spirits, progress is often measured by efficiency, scale, and volume.

But there are things that cannot be measured that way.
The knowledge of when an agave is ready.

The patience to cook it slowly.
The instinct behind fermentation.
The hands that still know how to distill in clay.

The traditions passed from one generation to the next.
From the agave in the field to the cooking, fermentation, and traditional clay distillation, every step reflects time, experience, and the commitment of the producer behind the bottle.

These methods can be slower.
They can be more demanding.
They can produce less volume.
But they preserve something incredibly valuable, a connection between the land, the producer, and the spirit in the bottle.

So the question is:
What do we lose when centuries of knowledge are replaced by efficiency alone?

Riablo Sotol A Taste of Northern Mexico

Sotol is its own unique spirit, rooted in the landscapes and traditions of Northern Mexico.

Made from the sotol plant, also known as desert spoon, this distinctive spirit has been crafted for generations in the arid regions of Chihuahua.

At Passport Destilados, we're proud to help introduce more American consumers to this remarkable category through Riablo Blanco, produced by Casa Ruelas, a family with deep roots in the tradition of sotol production.

Bright, earthy, and unmistakably northern Mexican, Riablo Blanco is an authentic expression of traditional sotol and an invitation to discover a spirit that deserves a place alongside the world's great agave and desert spirits.
