Why does rain trigger termite activity?
Termites need moisture to survive, and in our dry desert climate, rain is when they get it. After a storm, damp soil makes it easier for termites to build mud tubes and push closer to your home, which is why activity often picks up.
Keep an eye out for mud tubes along your foundation or walls, and small pinholes in your drywall with dried mud over them.
If you spot either of those, or it’s been a while since your last termite inspection, head to the link in our bio to book your free inspection with Varsity!
