We are looking for volunteers to assist with a project studying the distribution and ecology of medium and large mammals in the Baboquivari Mountains. Volunteers will help check and retrieve over 100 wildlife cameras deployed throughout the study area.
The Baboquivari Mountains are the westernmost sky island in the United States and are located almost entirely within the Tohono O'odham Nation. This project offers a unique opportunity to contribute to wildlife research while spending time in one of Arizona's remarkable and biologically diverse landscapes.

Come join NPS rangers for the 2026 Border BioBlitz at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument! Help us search for and document the incredible biodiversity of the Sonoran Desert. All you need is a phone with the free iNaturalist app to catalogue your findings.
Visitors can meet at the Kris Eggle Visitor Center at 8:15 am to caravan together, or meet their fellow bioblitzers at Quitobaquito Springs at 9 am.
