Silver Auctions Arizona relaunches this fall under new ownership, bringing a premium selections of collector cars for its November sale at the We-Ko-Pa Resort and Conference Center at the Fort McDowell Casino amid the scenic desert vistas just east of Scottsdale. The three annual Silver auctions that have taken place in Arizona for the past 20 years are a mainstay of the collector car scene in the
Scottsdale/Phoenix area, including its sale held during the January frenzy of auctions during Arizona Car Week. Silver's other Arizona auctions go live every November and March, and Silver Auctions Arizona will continue to bring the three annual sales that have become so popular. Mitch Silver, the founder of Silver Auctions, sold the Arizona portion of his collector car auction group to Emmett Rice, a long time Amarillo, Texas car dealer and enthusiastic participant in the vintage car hobby. "We plan to keep the same style of auctions that Silver has fostered over the years with integrity, honesty, and a comfortable auction setting where everyone is welcome," Rice said. Joining Rice in the new auction endeavor are Andy Stone, formerly of Leake AUctions, who will spearhead Silver Auctions Arizona; Jason Rose, former VP of Operations at Barrett-Jackson; Rob Brunton, who has worked with Penske Automotive and Leake; and Rodney Stokes, who serves as General Sales Manager for Vintage Autohaus & Imports. "Emmett and Andy will keep what I have built and improve on that foundation with knowledge, energy, and resources to provide our customers with exactly what they want-a successful auction for buyers and sellers in Arizona three times a year," Silver said. "We are ready to hit the ground running for our Thanksgiving weekend auction in November while also planning for a 500-car event in the January Auction Week in Arizona," Stone said. "We couldn't be more enthused about this collaborative auction effort."
