Happy to help support one of the local communities we work in! Pretty awesome that the town of Florence puts on an event to help raise awareness of fire safety in their community. We donated fire extinguishers and swapped out bad ones and provided new ones free of charge for residents and businesses.

It’s not very often that we get to celebrate the retirement of an employee, let alone one that took a chance working for a guy out of his garage all those years ago! John, thank you for helping build something special, and being an integral part of what Intelligrated Communications is all about! Enjoy your well deserved retirement!!

Intelligrated Communications is at it again at another trade show! We are at the annual AASBO conference in Tucson. Here to support our schools and give away some swag. We are proud to support them under our 1GPA contract, as well as others that allow school districts to utilize our services at negotiated rates that help them save time and money.

It has been a long while since we posted! We have been busy protecting people and property and trying to keep up with the crazy growth here in the Valley of the Sun!

Today we are showcasing something other than the fire protection systems we do every day. We also service and install nurse call systems. Hopefully you don’t see these very often unless you work in healthcare. This is the system you use when you are in a hospital bed and need the nurse, water etc.

While these systems are far less common than the fire systems we work on, these are equally as important.

Mama Olgas Tamales

This is a local restaurant that was born out of the idea of community and making authentic foods (not just tamales) for everyone to enjoy. They have a physical location at 9th Avenue and Hatcher, or you can find their yummy tamales at the Arrowhead Farmers market aka Peoria Farmers Market

They also have pupusas which are like little portable pockets of flavor! Never heard of them before, but definitely will be having them again!!

This week’s local small business spotlight goes to Lulu’s Sorbetto. Joe hand crafts each batch and has some really awesome flavors. You can find his sorbetto in some A J’s fine foods, or you can find him at the farmers Momma's Organic Market Saturday at Arrowhead Town Center. It makes an awesome coffee drink similar to a frapachino only a lot better!

This week’s local business spotlight goes to Signarama Phoenix. While Signarama may be a national chain of sign shops, they are in fact mostly franchises that are independently owned an operated. They did our signage inside and outside our office, they do our stickers and they do all of our required signage for Fire protection equipment that we install. Ray and his team have always gone the extra mile for us.

When you shop local you help keep your money local. The local merchants you patronize in turn support other local businesses and often times donate money to sponsor little league teams etc that directly go back to the community.
