You know what I've learned over the years?
The people you surround yourself with MATTER. ❤️

Not just the people who cheer you on when everything is going great.
I'm talking about the women who encourage you to try something new. Who celebrate your wins. Who share what they've learned. And who remind you that life is supposed to be FUN, too!

That's one of the reasons I love bringing women together.
We can talk about money, learn something new, laugh until our faces hurt and walk away feeling a little more connected.
And sometimes, all of that happens over a game of BUNCO! 🎲😂
We're getting together this Saturday, October 17, for Dice, Dames & Dough, and I can't wait!

Financial education doesn't have to be boring. And building a community doesn't have to feel like networking.
Sometimes it looks like rolling dice, making new friends and having conversations that actually matter.

Financial security isn't just about how much money you have. 💰
It's also about how prepared you are when life doesn't go according to plan.

I like to think about it in three layers:
🏦 Your foundation: cash flow, debt and emergency savings.
🛡️ Your protection: preparing for financial risks that could disrupt your plans.
🌱 Your future: building toward the goals that matter to you.
And here's the beautiful thing. Your financial plan doesn't have to look like anybody else's!

After yesterday's W**e, Women & Wealth gathering, this feels like a great reminder that financial education is about understanding YOUR options.

When an opportunity appears, does your brain immediately explain why it won’t work?
No time.
Not enough experience.
Don’t know the right people.
Might fail.
I can find fifteen problems before finishing my first cup of coffee. 😂
Try giving the possibility equal attention.
Ask:
What could go wrong?
AND:
What could become possible?
You don’t have to ignore risk.
Just stop allowing fear to make the entire decision.

What does financial freedom actually mean?

It doesn’t have to mean being a millionaire, owning a luxury home or never working again. Sometimes it simply means having options—being able to handle an unexpected expense, make a change or breathe a little easier without money controlling every decision.

In this week’s Money Mindset Monday blog, I’m sharing a more realistic way to think about financial freedom and one simple step you can take to begin creating more choices in your own life.

What would having more financial freedom allow you to do?

What did you learn about money before you were old enough to earn any?
“Money doesn’t grow on trees.”
“We can’t afford that.”
“Rich people are greedy.”
“You have to work yourself to death to make good money.”

Those messages can become part of your internal money blueprint—even if you never consciously chose them.

Finish these sentences:
“People with money are…”
“Making more money requires…”
“If I became wealthy, people would…”

Then ask yourself:
Is this belief actually mine—or did I inherit it?

You’re allowed to question the money story you were handed.
