It's always a good day when a rolls into the yard...

Longtime factory leader Bobby Wallace works hard to assure all the accessories are added to your boat in proper working fashion before it leaves the factory, and he’s also pretty good at capturing a gorgeous Wednesday morning sunrise over Flippin as a couple of the rigs he helped build head off to our treasured customers.

Introducing the all-new Yamaha 18’ sport boat platform — two ways to ride: the tower-equipped AR182 with full windshield, or the SX180 with Bimini top for the minimalist cruiser.

It’s got Yamaha’s legendary jet propulsion (no exposed prop, shallow draft, safer around swimmers and sandbars), a patented articulating keel for razor-sharp handling, and a patented clean-out port that makes maintenance a breeze.

Powered by the 1.9L High Output marine engine putting out 200 horsepower, this thing hits an estimated top speed north of 45 mph. That’s wild for a boat that’s still light enough to store in your garage and tow without a full-size truck.

This isn’t just a small jet boat — it’s PWC-style fun in a true sport boat layout, built for first-time buyers, watersports families, and WaveRunner owners ready to level up.

Meet the all-new Yamaha 20-foot sport boat lineup: the wake-focused 205XD, the confidence-inspiring 205SD, the sporty AR205, and the versatile AR200.

Each one seats up to nine, brings a deeper cockpit and bigger-boat comfort, and still tows, launches, and stores like a smaller boat.

Yamaha put its first-ever single-engine DRiVE® system on the 205XD and 205SD—delivering enhanced low-speed control, throttle-by-wire response, and paddle-shifter control designed to make docking and tight slips feel far more approachable.

Then there’s the 205XD. With supercharged 1.8L SVHO power, integrated ballast, a manual folding wake scoop, port and starboard ballast bags, and Hertz audio with a subwoofer, it is built to turn a garage-friendly 20-footer into a serious wake and surf machine.

The new 20-foot platform is proof you don’t need a giant boat—or a dedicated tow vehicle—to bring nine people, serious watersports capability, and a full day of fun to the water.
