A lot of businesses don't really understand the ministry world and a lot of ministries don't understand business. Our roots are found through decades of experience in both of these areas. Individuals that make up our teams have been pastors, teachers, business leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators and volunteers. These experiences have taught us to think about ministry differently than most. Over the years we've see a lot of ministries struggle to actualize their potential. We believe that with the right focus they can do better and we want to help.

Keenly began with a simple desire: to help ministries do better ministry everywhere.

Usually, when ministries are facing some kind of challenge, a few of the most common things we hear are “well, what about a new logo?” or “can’t we just pay you to redo our website?”

While those certainly are important elements in presenting well, the reality is that they have a greater impact when we take steps to look beyond the external appearance of a ministry and take practical steps to address the problems within.

Whether your ministry has been struggling for a few weeks or several decades, we hope to be a place where you can come to find encouragement, practical tools, and someone to walk with you in reimagining what your ministry could become.

Have you ever felt like you were doing everything right but your ministry still wasn’t moving in the direction you’d hoped? That’s where we come in.

Most problems ministries deal with come down to a perception or understanding problem. More often than not, there is a gap between how leaders think their ministry is communicating and how people actually receive that communication.

Misunderstanding, gossip, disagreement, and other issues like these show up in ministries everywhere. When they do, it degrades a ministry’s ability to be effective, because a leader’s attention shifts away from doing good ministry and toward maintaining or fixing the problems in front of them.

It doesn’t have to be that way. We believe now is the time for ministry leaders to navigate ministry better, and we’re here to help them do it.

Hi, we’re Keenly! Whether you’ve worked with us for years or have just discovered us, we’re so glad you’re here. We hope you’ll join us in our initiative to do better ministry everywhere.

Keenly is bigger than the name of our organization. It’s the way we think and the way we work. Doing things on purpose, for a purpose, with intention and focus, because something significant is on the other side of it.
Whether you ever work with us directly is actually secondary to us. What we care about most is seeing ministries everywhere doing better ministry. That’s why we make podcasts, write articles, and create content. We want to make ministry improvement easier for you, whether or not it ever turns into a project.

So use our resources. Connect with us. Even from a distance, we want you to feel like we’re making an impact together.

We’re here at the Southwest Leadership Retreat where we’re gathering with pastors from all over the region to talk about better ministry everywhere.
