Congratulations to Anne Flower on the World Record for the 50 mile trail race at Tunnel Hill 100 in a blazing 5:18:59!

The previous World Record was 5:31:56 set in Tunnel Hill by Courtney Olsen.

Anne ran an extraordinary race managing the warm conditions. With her mother as crew she dealt with the challenges and cruised across the finish line with a big smile looking ready to run 50 more miles.

Anne lives and trains in the mountains of Colorado but her hometown is Cincinnati. The Flying Pig Marathon was her first marathon. She told me when she started today she wasn’t planning to go for the World Record but she felt really good. A shake out run earlier in the week had miles in the 6 minute zone, so she went for it!

In honor of The Life of a Showgirl coming out today, we're revisiting Taylor Swift's Eras Tour preparation.

In preparation for the three-and-a-half-hour stadium extravaganza, the artist ran on the treadmill every day, singing the entire set list out loud.

BOSTON MARATHON 2026: NEARLY 9,000 RUNNERS CUT IN A RECORD-BREAKING QUALIFIER CUTOFF

​The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) has officially closed applications for the 130th Boston Marathon on April 20, 2026. While over 24,000 runners secured their spot, nearly 9,000 qualified applicants were left out due to one of the most brutal cutoffs in history: 4 minutes and 34 seconds faster than their qualifying standard!

​Key Stats:
​Total Applicants: 33,249
​Accepted Qualifiers: 24,362
​Number of Runners Cut: 8,887
​Example Cutoff: Men (18-34) had to run 2:50:26 instead of 2:55:00.

​This is the second-toughest cutoff on record, only behind the 7:47 in 2021 (due to the pandemic), proving once again that a Boston Qualifying time is no longer a guaranteed entry. You have to be faster, tougher, and more determined than ever to earn a spot on this iconic starting line.

​For those who missed the cutoff, entry is still possible through the charity program. The qualifying window for the 131st Boston Marathon is already open.
