Well, it's looking more and more like we will have a round 3 of Winter Weather...Again, this weekend's storm is predicted to be a mostly snow event, with brutally freezing temps. expected into next week. The latest forecast is calling for up anywhere from 1-5 inches of snow, depending on your location. Again, travel is expected to be dangerous, due to rapidly accumulating snow. Power outages are not expected to be major, but could happen, so again, PREPARE NOW. We are now roughly 36 hrs out from the projected start time of the event and as such, we are now activating our Severe Weather Emergency Protocols:
48 hrs prior to arrival of the event:
Contact the office and schedule to go to the store, as allowed, to obtain food, gas, kerosene, propane and any other supplies needed to get through the event. DO THIS NOW. CALL THE OFFICE AND SCHEDULE TODAY.
24 hrs prior to arrival of the event:
Fully charge all electronic devices (phones, computers, tablets, etc.) and monitoring devices should be charged for 2 1/2 hrs+ to ensure they are fully charged. Continue to charge as often as possible to maintain a full battery. Additionally, you should try to secure an alternative charging source to be safe. (generator or inverter for the car)
Upon commencement of the event through the completion (Estimated Friday night until Sunday evening)
Participants are to remain in their residences until the completion of the event. Only absolutely, essential travel should be attempted.
If a LIFE THREATENING, not simply an inconvenience, situation develops, participants may contact monitoring personnel regarding moving to safety. Again, POWER OUTAGES ARE POSSIBLE...DON'T PANIC...PLAN NOW...Otherwise, participants should refrain from making frivolous calls during the event so as to allow EagleEye Personnel to deal with true emergency situations. Again, power outages are possible so take precautions and be ready.
Should the situation deteriorate into an extended crisis event, we will post further instructions here as to procedures for leaving your residence. Try to minimize calls unless ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY, plan now stay home and stay safe.
