Pay: Up to $72K/year depending on experience and performance. (Example does not account for possible Overtime)

Flexible Schedules!! 4 Weekdays + 1 Day/Weekend
Shift: 1st shift 7:00am-3:00pm(flexible)

In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for trailer/truck maintenance and basic repairs for a small, independent fleet of diesel trucks and trailers along with some 3rd party services as well.
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic and basic repairs on trucks and trailers.
Perform basic routine maintenance on Diesel Engines, Chassis, Drive-lines, Hydraulic Systems, Air/Hydraulic Brakes, AC Systems, Electrical Systems, Trailer interior and exterior repairs.
Conduct regular preventative maintenance on trailers/trucks, including inspection and oil changes.
Maintain parts inventory, update service records and ensure cleanliness in the shop.
Collaborate with Fleet Shop Manager to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repair schedules.
Perform regular diagnostic tests on trailers and trucks.
Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles.
Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
Comply with Federal and State vehicle requirements; testing engines, safety, and combustion control standards
Will work proactively to support drivers to ensure safety and reliability of fleet trucks and equipment.
Must be capable of moving equipment in and out of shop.
Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Must have own hand and power tools up to 1/2in drive and 1 1/8in wrench/sockets. 3/4in drive and wrenches/sockets 1 ÂĽ and larger provided by company.
Must be willing to buy correct tools for the job.
Familiarity with DOT compliance requirements.
Must be able to self-certify according to 49 CFR 396 Appendix G as Brake and Annual Inspector.
Valid class A or B CDL license is a plus and will result in differential pay.
Must have the ability to obtain CDL within 180 days of hire. (company will assist in obtaining if desired).
Tractor trailer repair: 1 year (Required without tech school certification)
Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Required without tech school certification)
