In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for trailer/truck maintenance and basic repairs for a small, independent fleet of diesel trucks and trailers along with some 3rd party services as well.

Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic and basic repairs on trucks and trailers.
Perform basic routine maintenance on Diesel Engines, Chassis, Drive-lines, Hydraulic Systems, Air/Hydraulic Brakes, AC Systems, Electrical Systems, Trailer interior and exterior repairs.
Conduct regular preventative maintenance on trailers/trucks, including inspection and oil changes.
Maintain parts inventory, update service records and ensure cleanliness in the shop.
Collaborate with Fleet Shop Manager to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repair schedules.
Perform regular diagnostic tests on trailers and trucks.
Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles.
Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
Comply with Federal and State vehicle requirements; testing engines, safety, and combustion control standards
Will work proactively to support drivers to ensure safety and reliability of fleet trucks and equipment.
Must be capable of moving equipment in and out of shop.
Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Must have own hand and power tools up to 1/2in drive and 1 1/8in wrench/sockets. 3/4in drive and wrenches/sockets 1 ¼ and larger provided by company.
Must be willing to buy correct tools for the job.
Familiarity with DOT compliance requirements.
Must be able to self-certify according to 49 CFR 396 Appendix G as Brake and Annual Inspector.
Valid class A or B CDL license is a plus and will result in differential pay.
Must have the ability to obtain CDL within 180 days of hire. (company will assist in obtaining if desired).
Tractor trailer repair: 1 year (Required without tech school certification)
Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Required without tech school certification)

EXPERIENCED LIFT DRIVER NEEDED

1ST Shift Hours: 7:30am-3:30pm (Monday thru Friday), OT as required

Responsibilities include:

Moves raw material in warehouse with use of forklift and clamp trucks.
Unloads and loads tractor trailers, containers and rail cars in a safe and productive manner.
Load and Unload paper rolls and bales of paper.
Locate product from inbound trucks and rail cars in warehouse and stage product using computerized system.
Load and unload trucks based on schedule given by warehouse manager and/or logistics group.
Learn material paper grades and understanding of cross-contamination.
Conduct daily fork-lift inspections.
Perform quality checks on materials before shipping.
Data entry, completion of shipping documents, and ability to read a yard tracker.
Assist production as needed.
Assist with daily housekeeping in order to maintain a safe and productive environment.
Operate in a safe and productive manner.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years forklift experience required.
Clamp truck experience is a plus but not a requirement.
Previous experience in manufacturing or construction strongly preferred.
Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment which is hot in the summer months and comfortable during cooler weather.
Must be comfortable working in an environment that can become very dusty.
Must be teamwork oriented.
Must be able to lift between 50 to 75 lbs, *repetitively* without any assistance.
Must be able to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, reach overhead, twist and bend regularly to complete job tasks.
