Alot of people ask where our money goes that the National Wild Turkey Federation raises through our banquets. Although we try to support local (especially youth) groups, we mainly focus on not only the Wild Turkey, but wildlife conservation. The NWTF in conjunction with Texas A&M University, are doing a study on Neonicotinoids by taking blood, liver and crop samples in harvested turkeys. This is the first of 3 samples that will be sent in. They are basically looking at the effects of some insecticides and pesticides that not only effects the turkeys, but songbirds and pollinators like bee's. It's just satisfying to show some of the work being done that rarely gets noticed. Nice to have the privilege to help out!

Merry Christmas!

In spirit of this holiday season, we want to share our gratitude to the countless National Wild Turkey Federation members, volunteers, partners and staff for delivering another year of monumental conservation successes and sharing the special gift that is the life-changing power of the outdoors.

As we look to the coming year and continued successes in mission delivery, let us not forget the true meaning of the Christmas holiday — the renewal of hope and the gifts of peace and love found in the birth of Jesus Christ.

We hope that over the next few days, you get to enjoy time spent with family, friends and loved ones, and we look forward to working together to carry the spirit of this Christmas season long into the New Year!
