We would like to thank everyone who stopped by today at the Autumn Stroll and purchased some Farm Show Milkshakes. It was a little chilly but you amazing folks showed up and supported!! I believe the final count of shakes was around 700 or so. Thank you all again!!!

Our friends at the Muir Volunteer Fire Company are hosting a online helping hands raffle to benefit their Chief Corey Williams. Chief Williams is fighting cancer and his family needs all the support they can get. Please consider purchasing chances to help out this wonderful man and his family!

Corey Williams, Muir Volunteer Fire Company Fire Chief, is currently battling cancer and facing many unknowns during this difficult time. We are coming together as a community to show our support for Corey and his family and to help in any way we can as they navigate this challenging journey.

Corey has dedicated many years to public service and emergency services, always being there for others when they need it most. Now, it’s our turn to be there for him and his family.

We are asking everyone to come together to show Corey and his loved ones that they are not alone in this fight. Whether it’s through a donation, sharing their story, offering a kind word, or simply keeping them in your thoughts, every act of kindness makes a difference.

By purchasing a chance to this raffle you are supporting fundraising by the Muir Volunteer Fire Company (SGOC # 10531) All tickets must be purchased within PA by individuals that are 18 and up, and must be paid for with debit card or other means. Chances purchased outside PA or with a credit card will be refunded by the MVFC at its earliest convenience. Numbers are assigned based on the order of purchase. Physical tickets will be held on file at our station. Winning numbers are determined using a bingo machine. Thank you for your continued support.

Crews just returned from call #2 of the day

This time being a box truck rollover on I81 South at MM101. The incident was originally dispatched at the 100.1 MM. Squad 58-15 from the North End Fire Company, Pine Grove was first arriving and crews immediately went to work to remove the driver who was not trapped through the windshield. Crews had the driver extricated quickly and the box was scaled back to 21 and Squad 58-15.

E21-10, B21-41, R21-50, UT21-70, SQ58-15, UT58-65 were on scene along with 58-50 (canceled on scene) and Lebanon Rescue 57 (canceled enroute)

Lets add that some of the 21 apparatus was also staffed by members of the North End. 2 companies working together for the common goal of serving the community.

First call of the day was early this evening with a fluids down crash at the 97 Northbound on I81. That call was held to 21 and Squad 58-15 as well

Yesterday evening around 5:15, the 21-1A Box was toned out for a MVA w/Entrapment on Route 501. Chief 21 went enroute and was advised of a 2 vehicle (pickup and a suv) head on crash. Squad 58-15 arrived to find 1 person confined in the suv. Crews quickly removed the passenger side door to remove the driver from the vehicle.

Last night about 30 minutes after midnight Rescue 21 was requested to assist the Muir Volunteer Fire Company with a motor vehicle accident with entrapment on 209 in their first due of Porter TWP. Rescue 21 made the response with 4 personnel. Once on scene crews assisted with extrication efforts. The rescue was released after extrication was completed. Also while this was going on a 2nd call was sent for a tree down on I81 South which B21-41 & UT58-65 handled. Additional personnel from North End Fire Company, Pine Grove responded to supplement the rescue crew after the tree down was cleared.

PSA: There is a wire down along Route 501 near the Berks County/Schuylkill County line in the woods that is actively on fire. There is nothing the fire department can do. PP&L has been contacted to take care of the issue. The fire department has cleared the scene. You may see a small fire as you pass by but there is nothing that can be done from the fire department

Just after 1 pm this afternoon 21 & 58 Fire Police were requested to assist Lebanon Co. 41 (Fredericksburg Fire Co. #1) with traffic control at a tractor trailer crash at the 95 Mile marker of I81 South. Brush 21-40 & Utility 21-70 made the response along with Brush 58-40 from Pine Grove Hose Hook and Ladder Fire Company #1

The interstate has since reopened to normal traffic!!!!
