Studio Moon Nights are back, baby! 😉

https://square.link/u/4igGAdGD

Moon Phase events at the Studio are small gatherings with intention based art aligning with the current phases of the moon.
Byob & snacks, limited seating to keep groups intimate and allow for creative experimentation.

Designs may be shared on social media, but everyone is encouraged to “color outside the lines” and go totally rogue if they like! We may use stencils, collage, even glitter (if we can be careful with it lol!) Creative self expression and mindful intentions for each participant make this a unique event to celebrate whatever season of life you find yourself in.

Studio Doors open at 5:45pm
Intention setting begins at 6pm, painting starts at approximately 6:30 pm.

If you’d like to bring a guest who is under 21, please be mindful of the guided relaxation/intentional aspect of this event and use your own judgement. (Will they be mellow enough to sit calmly and quietly so others experience will not be negatively impacted?)

Gratuities go to the Creative Resilience Studio’s community support fund to benefit programs for teen girls and survivors of human trafficking.

Please help us keep things friendly and comfortable for everyone by leaving religion and politics outside the studio, Thank You!

Creative Resilience Art Studio is located at 270 C McCaskill Rd E. Pinehurst NC. Park in the front lot, studio is around back. Overflow parking available in apartment lot across the street. Do not park in the rounded section to the far right of office lot please!

No smoking or va**ng on studio property please! If you choose to consume alcohol, please be sure you have a safe way home after the event. Creative Resilience is not responsible for your actions once you leave the studio, but we will try to advise your safe travels so you can join us again soon

Meet “The Tale of The Brightmare – A Story of Childhood Resilience” — created by artist Nicole Sinay Torres () and sponsored by Cork SoPi-Patrick McKee.

Inspired by blue and white porcelain, classic fairy tales, nursery rhymes, and the Korean folk tale of the Moon Rabbit honoring her children's heritage, Nicole wove together delicate storytelling elements to represent the vulnerability — and strength — of childhood.

Throughout the pony, you’ll notice shimmering gold “cracks,” inspired by the Japanese art of kintsugi, meaning “to join with gold.” In this art form, broken pottery is repaired with melted gold, making it stronger than before. Here, those golden seams symbolize resilience — healing wounds, honoring growth, and finding beauty in what has been mended.

The Brightmare carries unique themes from 15 beloved stories across her form: Peter Pan, Rapunzel, Ugly Duckling, Frog Prince, Snow White's magic mirror, Cinderellas pumpkin & mice, Mad Hatter's tea party, Jack's beanstalk, Hey Di**le Di**le, Hickory Dickory Dock Clock, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Pinocchio, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, The Princess and the Pea & The Moon Rabbit— each one reflecting innocence, imagination, and perseverance.

This powerful piece is part of our 2026 Painted Ponies Art Walk & Auction, celebrating creativity, community, and the beauty of the Sandhills. The ponies are on display throughout downtown Southern Pines through mid-April, with the LIVE simulcast auction on April 19 from 4-6PM at BHAWK American Whiskey Ko.
