Poor Huey Louis. What a tragic loss for a musician to be diagnosed with Ménière’s Disease.

Ménière’s is something I choose to not talk about very often. It’s not shame. It’s not embarrassment. I’ve worked very hard to not allow this sucky illness to define my life. I’ve had it 25 years. But even though I am in the later stages and am less physical affected, it still rears it’s ugly head.

Why do I share this on my business page? Ménière’s has been one of my life’s greatest teachers. Moving through this chaotic disease allows for truly only two choices:

1. Dig deep into what is beyond the physical body and learn to sit and separate from the physical hell and chaos.

OR

2. Choose to exit this physical body or become stuck, angry and bitter.

I chose the former. I love life. I seek joy and find it. And I truly believe that everyone has rain and thunderstorms in their lives.

How do you move forward when the rain comes?

My therapist and coach Nancy was my guide through the darkness. She taught me so much.

Everyone needs a guide, coach counselor, therapist, mentor. And now I get to be that for some precious clients.
