CNR has been awarded the 2025 LoneStar Land Steward Award for the Pineywoods Ecoregion at Scrappin’ Valley in Newton County, Texas. This was a great honor and we are very proud of all the hard work it took our team to achieve such an honor. This effort was lead by Scotty Ward, our South Unit Forester. His tremendous leadership and knowledge does not go unnoticed! This award recognizes and honors private landowners in Texas for their contributions to land, water and wildlife stewardship. More than 95 percent of land in Texas is privately owned or managed, making their efforts important to all of us. Congratulations to Scotty and the team!!!
