A little professional update I'm excited to share. 🌴

I'm now registered as an out-of-state telehealth provider in Florida, which means I can provide virtual counseling to clients who are located in Florida.

I'm also licensed to provide counseling in North Carolina and South Carolina, so I can now work virtually with clients across all three states.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, relationships, grief, trauma, faith changes, and those seasons when life simply doesn't look the way you thought it would.

If you're in NC, SC, or FL and have been thinking about counseling—or you know someone who has—I'm currently accepting new clients.

Attention Wake Forest & Atrium Health Team Members!

If you’re part of the Wake Forest or Atrium Health community and have been covered under Carolina Behavioral Health, I want you to know that I accept Aetna Health Insurance for counseling services — including behavioral health benefits.

Wake Forest’s employee behavioral health coverage transitioned to Aetna earlier this year, and many Atrium plans are also moving under Aetna administration for 2026. That means you may now have access to in-network counseling support with me under your plan. (As always, it’s a great idea to double-check your specific benefits or call Aetna to confirm in-network status.)

I’m all on board with ChatGPT and AI. I use it daily. However, I think it’s important to note that although chat can give you some good “advice”, you’re not going to get confidentiality from it.

So….use it wisely and remember, you have 100% confidentiality with a licensed therapist. Not to mention I probably won’t always tell you exactly what you want to hear and sometimes that’s really helpful 😉

I just received an email from the NC State Health Care Plan.
This affects teachers, state government employees, etc.

"Given the current financial situation of the Plan, we must find other solutions that benefits all three parties: the Plan, members and providers. As such, the Plan will be ending CPP in its current form as of December 31, 2025.

The Plan is committed to continuing its effort in promoting affordable access to behavioral health services through reimbursement rates and member cost-share; however, it will not be at the current CPP reimbursement rate and will not have a $0 member cost share."

What does this mean? Until the end of 2025 you will pay $0 for your counseling. In 2026- who knows?

If you've been waiting to deal with something, now is the time to schedule. "Free" counseling is a gift. Use it.
