Kathleen & Mike Bianco will soon be celebrating six years as a Pitman business, with Crave Pitman!!

It didn't take long for them to become one of our town's most favorite destinations. While most of their scrumptious goodies make dentists and gym owners squeal with joy, they also feature quite an assortment of vegan and gluten-free items.

The EDC Team especially like how well they cross-market and promote other businesses in town, including tie-ins to shows at the Theatre.

With a little help from their friends, Pitman Economic Development Committee presented Dr Joe Sheffer, Chiropractor , Proprietor of Sheffer Chiropractic & Wellness, with a window cling in recognition of his THIRTY YEARS serving his patients in Pitman!!

(Time for us to order 30+ clings, but he understood)

If you say to him "that's a long time to do such back breaking work!", he'll chuckle politely and act as though it's the first time he's ever heard that.

Dr Sheffer is ALWAYS accompanied by his faithful companions, Dune and Banks, who were a bit camera shy. They showed their loyalty recently by warding off a bear attack! Stop by for the rest of the story...

We managed to get Dan & Lymari Arkins to stand still JUST long enough to take their picture in front of one of our town's most popular new businesses, Brewed Awakening.

Opening their coffee shop was the realization of a long-held dream by Dan, just ask him about it next time you drop in!

We were happy to present Chosen with a "1+" window cling recently, as they opened in 2022.

Owner Stephanie was not available but Manager Stacy stepped up for the mandatory photo!

Pitman EDC Chair Jeff Sanders presented Keryl Hausmann with an EDC window cling in recognition of 5yrs since opening Words Matter Bookstore.

What Keryl has created with Words Matter is truly extraordinary. A welcoming haven for fellow book lovers, but also a space used for community meetings, book debuts and signings, pet adoptions, and so much more. We won't even mention her gift for the seemingly lost art of window dressing.

Thank you, Keryl, and congratulations on your first five years!

Grunge Magic's Erin Wadsworth opened her store on 2nd Avenue in November of 2024, and has welcomed shoppers and browsers checking out her truly unique offerings, ranging from upcycled clothes with cool screenprinted designs, to posters, stickers, buttons, and on and on.

The Pitman Economic Development Committee was honored to join forces with American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post 6469 this weekend to hang the "We Remember" banners on Broadway. Thank you to everyone who came out to help, the passersby who expressed their support, and a heartfelt thank you to the families who shared their loved ones with our nation.
