The responsibilities for this position are the preparation and processing of material in and out of the Slitting Operation. Operator will set up, operate, or tend machines, in order to cut, slit, bend, or straighten sheets of metal to specific widths. Slitter operators must also ensure quality, by examining various end-products and observing pre-defined tolerances. The pay for this position is based on experience.
