The #1 request since we've had to change what materials the recycling center would break even on has been when are we going to take glass again. Good news! Our patrons and members spoke and the board members listened. At our board of directors meeting this evening, the board agreed that we needed to take glass materials again. So bring your glass with the other accepted recyclable materials when you come through the Tunnel.
We're open Fridays from 10-5 and Saturdays from 9-4. $10 Drop Off fee for non members. Please rinse out your glass, #1 plastics, and cans before you bring them in. This Saturday is also Large Item Drop Off. No charge for the Large Item Drop Off.

Weekly reminder: Today (every Wed) is Scrap Metal & E-Waste day. This is the time to bring in those old computers and TVs, etc. that have been sitting around in your house taking up space and collecting dust. We're open 10-5. $10 drop off fee plus service fee.
Tunnel Recycling drop off days and hours: Fridays-10AM-5PM and Saturdays-9AM-4PM. $10 drop off fee

Due to the "Snomageddon" inclement weather that most likely will happen on Saturday, the board of directors made the decision to close the recycling center early tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m. and be closed on Saturday. We feel that our employees, volunteers, and patrons should be safe and warm and cozy this frigid weekend. We will be open tomorrow for business (Friday, January 23) from 10 to 3 p.m. Stay safe.

We realize that what we now take at the recycling center has been quite confusing. Here is the front and back of what I call our cheat sheet that gives you the pertinent times and information regarding the materials we are taking. We hope this will help with the confusion. It's a beautiful day for our Scrap Metal & E-Waste Drop Off Day from 10-5 PM. $10 drop off fee plus disposal charge for printers, office copiers, TVs, Monitors, appliances, hot water tanks, grills, and mowers. All other E-Waste is free of the disposal charge. Payment may be made by cash, card, or check.

Just a reminder that SEK Recycling will be closed for Christmas from Wednesday through Friday this week and will reopen on Saturday, December 27 from 9-4.

Here's the Christmas & New Year's holiday closing schedule: We will close at noon on Wednesday, December 24 (Scrap metal & E-Waste day), and will be closed Christmas Day and Friday, December 26th. We will reopen at 9 AM on Saturday, December 27. We will close at noon on Wednesday, December 31st and be closed New Year's Day. We will reopen Friday, January 2nd, 2026, at 10 AM.
