Our annual meeting for members is just around the corner! Back by popular demand, we'll be holding this year's meeting at the Pitt! Hear about updates at the center, enjoy a complimentary nacho bar, and enter to win raffle prizes!

Calling all volunteers!

SEK Recycling is in need of volunteers to help in the drop-off tunnel every second Saturday of the month, when our staff are busy helping run the Large Item Drop-Off.

Keep in mind, you can volunteer any Saturday--just stop by and we'll put you to work! But our highest-need days are Large Item Drop-Off days.

Anyone can volunteer--just sign up at the link below. (Minors require guardian permission.)

Plus, there's a bonus: when you volunteer, you can bring your recyclables through the tunnel at no cost!

Today, we thank the CFSEK Dylan Meyer Get Busy Living Grant Committee for a small grant that they awarded SEK Recycling Center for safety equipment for our student volunteers to use when they work at the recycling center. Today we acknowledge the 56th Earth Day. The theme for 2026 is "Our Power, Our Planet". We thank our patrons and sponsors for being passionate in recycling to help take care our little part of Mother Earth.
The SEK Recycling accepts the following recyclable materials: Newspaper & Sale Ads from newspapers; White Printer Paper (Includes envelopes W/O windows); Corrugated Cardboard (includes brown paperboard boxes); Steel (tin) cans; Aluminum Beverage Cans; #1 Plastic bottles and containers; #2 Natural Plastic milk jugs; #2 colored plastic containers; Glass jars and containers; Scrap Metal; Appliances; Acid Car Batteries; Clothing, Shoes, Bedding, Towels, & Fabric; and E-Waste. All materials must be clean and dry.
