Very sturdy for a forest dweller

When you brought your family to meet me
I'd had a rough half a decade
You see, it was shortly after witnessing 2 birds collide mid-air...twice
Not once, but twice
Yes, twice Mister Fox
They hit
Fell about 2 feet
Recovered
Then attempted to land on the same perch
And collided once more
What are the chances?
Now do you understand why I couldn't fathom your visit?
