There’s just ONE WEEK LEFT to nominate a woman who deserves to be recognized for the difference she makes in our community. Each year, 12 incredible women are selected to be featured on the Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce Women of Distinction Community Calendar.

Last Friday, we kicked off Little Balkans Weekend with a Chamber Coffee and got to hear about everything that was planned for the weekend!

So many people worked behind the scenes to make this weekend happen, and we’re thankful for all of them. From the Pittsburg 150 Committee and the City of Pittsburg, to Camptown Events, volunteers, local organizations, businesses and everyone else who helped make the weekend possible, thank you!

It’s so good to see our community come together to celebrate such an important part of Pittsburg’s history. Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Little Balkans Weekend a great one!

The Paint the Town Red Pep Rally brought plenty of Gorilla spirit to Broadway! ❤️💛

A huge thank you to the Pittsburg State University Dance Team, Pittsburg State University Cheerleading, and Pitt State Music Department for bringing the energy and getting everyone fired up for football season! 🦍

✨What a great day in Downtown Pittsburg as Broadway filled with Gorilla fans, community members, and vendors as we came together to celebrate our Crimson & Gold pride. From the pep rally and kids fun run to the Downtown Block Party, there was so much energy and Gorilla spirit all night long!

The Gorillas are back at Carnie Smith Stadium tomorrow for Family Day as they take on Emporia State University, so we’re keeping the Crimson & Gold spirit going!
We’ll be sharing more Paint the Town Red photos leading up to tomorrow’s game, so keep an eye out!

Social South is bringing a new dining and gathering spot to Pittsburg, with bold food, great cocktails and a fun atmosphere. They’ll have a spacious dining room, outdoor patio and center bar, making it a great spot for everything from a business lunch to dinner and drinks with friends and family.
