CHi started out as a family sign business in 2001 with a 24" vinyl plotter, sign software and a room in Dad's house. We have since grown to provide printing, promotional items, silkscreen & embroidery, and even trophies, plaques & awards. We have a

lways done custom glass etching and found that a lot of our friends, family and customers often forgot about us when looking for that special gift. Between our sandblasting cabinet and our laser engraver we have the ability to create unique items that can be personalized or customized however you want. We love helping you find special items to decorate your life or bring you closer to the ones you love. We are still available to handle all of your sign, promotional and apparel needs so don't be afraid to ask. CHi formed while one founder, Ian Young, was hospitalized for serious treatment of his cystic fibrosis. He wanted to start making signs and from this simple idea, he -- with the help of “Dad” Chuck DeSabato, sister Heather Sneddon and brother Seth DeSabato -- formed CHi Signs & DeSigns. It is actually a very simple story and comes from purchasing our first equipment. Heather was filling out the form for buying our plotter/computer/software package and it asked for a company name. She asked what she should put and Dad said "I don't know use our initials or something". And that is how we ended up with CHi, C for Chuck, H for Heather and a little i for Ian because we call him little man. When the company called Dad to confirm the order they asked "Is this CHi Signs?" and he said "Yes it is". We added & Designs because it had a nice sound to it.
