You have 168 hours this week. That’s not really in question.

What’s actually in question is how much of it is available for anything new.

Some of it’s already spoken for by sleep, life, and rest, as it should be. More of it disappears into meetings, admin, and the fires that show up whether you planned for them or not.

What’s left is your Strategic Capacity, the time you actually have to get new stuff done. For most people, it’s a lot smaller than the 168 they started with.

Most quarterly plans get built against the big number. The ones that actually hold up get built against the sliver.

Quick gut check: if you mapped your week the way this graphic does, how big would your gold sliver be?

Every quarter starts the same way.

Good intentions. A long list. Big plans.

Then, by week three the momentum is gone and you are back in survival mode.

It is not a motivation problem. It’s an operations problem.

The Flow Not Force Quarterly Planning Cohort was built for founders and nonprofit leaders who are ready to stop spinning and start finishing the quarter with something real to show for it.

Three live sessions. Three weeks. Three operations-focused frameworks built from 27 years of operational experience. You walk away with a 90-day plan built around your actual capacity, not wishful thinking.

Founding cohort starts June 3. Max 10 people!

I got to spend time with some of my favorites at Hoda Kotb’s amazing Joy101 retreat in March. It was life-changing! Thank you Maria Shriver, Stephanie Ruhle for being there with such wise words to share. Walker Hayes, thanks for kicking off the event. Hoda, I have no words, you are one in a million and I’m so grateful for you! ❤️ Christine Goulding, thank you for the amazing breathwork classes.

Force doesn’t fix systems. I see it all the time with my clients. Founders drowning in manual processes, spreadsheets that don’t talk to each other, and a team running in six different directions.

They try to push harder, add more hours, more force, and more effort to try to hold it all together. Leaders micromanage thinking more oversight will fix the issue. It may work for a bit, until it doesn’t.

Force is not a system, it’s a stopgap.
When operations require constant human effort just to function, that’s not a capacity problem, that’s a design problem. Burnout in mission-driven organizations rarely comes from caring too much. It comes from forcing teams to use systems that were never built to carry the load.

The leaders I work with don’t burn out because they’re weak. They burn out because they’ve been compensating for broken processes for years , and nobody told them that was the problem.

Flow looks different. Flow is when your team knows exactly what to do without a check-in.
Flow is when data lives in one place and actually makes sense. Flow is when you can step away on a Friday and nothing falls apart.
That’s not a fantasy. That’s what good operations and systems design actually produces.

The goal was never to work harder for your dream. It was always to build something that works even when you’re not forcing it.

What would it mean for your organization if your systems finally worked with you instead of against you?

The Real Operations Question...
Here's what I ask every leader when we talk operations strategy:
'When you map your workflows, do you start with what should happen or what actually happens?'
The answer to this question tells me everything.
Most organizations design systems around idealized processes, then they wonder why nothing sticks. Real change starts with honest assessment of current reality. Not best practices. Not what worked at your last organization. Not what a salesperson recommended.

What's actually happening on the ground with your team right now?
Once you see that clearly, you can design systems that work for your people instead of against them.

Is your operations strategy built on reality or wishful thinking?
Let's map what's actually happening in your operations right now. Book a Clarity Call. https://calendly.com/krallconsulting/clarity-call

The #1 thing that will hurt your Giving Tuesday campaign:
Not testing your donation page on mobile.

Sounds simple, right? Yet every year I hear stories of frustration...
"Donors were trying to give but the form wouldn't work on their phones."
"The donate button was cut off on mobile."

Over 50% of Giving Tuesday donations happen on mobile devices.
If your donation page isn't mobile-optimized, you're losing money before you even launch your campaign.

Here's your action item for today:
- Pull out your phone right now
- Go to your donation page
- Try to make a donation (you can cancel before submitting)

Be honest: Was it easy? Fast? Intuitive?
If the answer is no, you have one urgent priority:
Fix. Your. Mobile. Experience.

If you don't know where to start and need support with preparing your systems for Giving Tuesday, schedule a call with me. https://calendly.com/krallconsulting/gt2025

If you are not a nonprofit org and have the means to give a little extra this year, please do so. We have kids without the resources they need for education, we have mommas trying to provide basic necessities for their family, and we have a rapidly growing population of seniors who need care that they cannot afford. If you cannot give dollars and are able to volunteer, please give your time.

I’m excited to share that I am now a certified LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitator!

I love that this methodology brings ALL learning styles together. We’re not just talking; we’re seeing, touching, building, and sharing. That means every participant can contribute in a way that feels natural. It also ensures that every voice is heard—including those who aren’t always the loudest in the room.

LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® is not only about team building, it’s a dynamic tool for streamlining processes, clarifying workflows, and aligning teams around operations. By building models team members learn about each other, how to work together, and see opportunities for improvement in ways that traditional meetings often miss.

When combined with my background in project management, operations strategy, and NLP coaching, I help organizations:
- Build stronger teams and more confident leaders
- Unlock creativity for problem-solving and innovation
- Visualize and streamline complex processes
- Align projects and operations with clarity

Whether you’re working on project planning, operations alignment, or team development, I can facilitate sessions that leave your group more connected, creative, and strategically aligned.

👉 Curious how this could transform the way your team approaches operations? Let’s connect; I’d love to show you.
